Mike and I have raised our family in the wonderful home. Our grandchildren have stayed and visited us, as well as entertained our friends and family. Our journey has taken us to North Dakota, where we have purchased a old school and remodeled it to accommodate 18 motel rooms, 13 space RV Park, Bar, Store etc., www.theoldschoolcenter.com, the journey has been great, and we are building the property every day, which gives us the opportunity to offer our family home for your enjoyment.
Deborah purchased this house in 2004
Our home is comfortable and casual. Relaxing days watching a movie on the patio enjoying the sun soaking into your body, these thoughts get us through our North Dakota winters.

This is a great place if you want to get away and relax. Caretaker is a great guy and was very responsive. Our only issues were minor...not enough dishes. 3 coffee cups and only enough place settings for 4 people so we used paper plates and cups. We paid extra to have the pool heated. I guess I would make sure that your idea of "heated" matches up with the owner/caretaker. I have a pool and we keep it at 85 degrees. The caretaker thought that 76 degrees should be warm enough. At 76, none of my kids, wife or myself would get in the water. Maybe we are just spoiled. After some discussion, the pool was set to 85 and the rest of our stay and use of pool was fine. Fair warning, it is a bit of a drive to get to a grocery store, so stock up before you get to the house. We were driving back to Tuscon each day to watch our son play baseball and would make a daily stop to get things but if you need anything quickly, it is more than just a quick run to the grocery store..plan on an hour. 20+ min drive each way plus time in the store. Buy plenty of ice...we couldn't get the ice maker in the freezer to produce anything. We didn't want to bother anyone over that so we just bought bags of ice. Overall it was a nice place and comfortable. I should have paid closer attention to it's location in relation to Tuscon, it was further away than I would have liked to be but that is my fault for not investigating that in more detail.
Well equipped and very comfortable. Building manager was readily available.
The property was beautiful. Our stay was very short but enjoyable. Highly recommend this property.
This was our first time to Az and I'm in love! I have to say I almost did not book this place because the pictures made the kitchen and bathrooms look small. I'm so glad I did book it because the kitchen was huge and opened into the great room. This home is 2200 square feet with the master opposite the kids rooms. The bathroom had the largest shower I have ever seen. The veranda was beautiful with lovely , comfortable furniture to relax on and enjoy the view. I really spend hours looking for a perfect rental home because I want the home to have modern decor and amenities of the home I live in. This home exceeded all my expectations in every way. The pool was fantastic and we really enjoyed the hot tub. I highly recommend the pool heat! The beds were extremely comfortable and the view was beautiful. I had a little trouble figuring out how to use the spa but the owner gave me great instructions and offered to come out right away if I wanted. I would love to stay here again!
Beautiful and comfortable house. The owners are very responsive. It was definitely worth the extra cost to heat the pool. We had a cool spell of weather while we were there but still were able to use the pool. The hot tub is wonderful also. Everything is maintained well except for a recliner in the living room that was broken. Great place for families!
Mike and Deborah were wonderful and responsive owners to work with. Robert, the area manager of the property, was so very accommodating, helpful and friendly.
While it doesn't appear that the home is actively on the market, it is for sale. For this reason, I believe that there are some reasons for some of the insignificant negative remarks we will make.
Rather nice, if heavy, furniture which leads to a good first impression
Sharp knives in the kitchen (almost unheard of in VRBO rentals!)
Well stocked kitchen with an abundance of utensils and spices (but byo wine opener, which we couldn't find)
Heated clean spa. Heated pool for a reasonable additional cost.
Lots and lots of seating - indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of tables and places to eat.
Comfortable beds in 4 bedrooms - although a king would be nice in the master (some of us are spoiled)
Beautiful back deck / porch with an awesome view of back yard and distant hills
Rather insignificant negatives:
A little too much clutter in drawers and cabinets
Quirky light switches which didn't seem to turn anything on or off
Fan controls which didn't work too well
Microwave didn't have glass plate
From Vail, we took day trips to the southeastern part of AZ and would return to this location if available.
