Most of my guests have extremely positive experiences as reflected in my reviews. I wish Lydia’s visit had been better for both of us. It did teach me how to better orient someone who is using Vrbo for the first time. I asked her to communicate to me any concerns but heard nothing. I will emphasize in my listing that I welcome feedback during stays so that I can improve things then for a better experience. I love helping guests solve problems while also giving them space to relax and do their own thing. As she said, it went mostly fine until the end of her stay during a conversation about her unregistered dogs and house policies. I allow pets here but they must be registered during booking as there are extra guidelines to ensure safety of animals and the cottage. All in all, her family was were nice enough and I wish the best for them in their journeys. Dragonfly Cottage and Chicory Inn (where I live and also rent single rooms) shares a courtyard as well as 2 acre yard with orchards. Most guests like this arrangement because they can have it all: natural privacy in a remote country setting with the back-up of a responsive onsite caretaker.
