Our centrally located home is the perfect spot for a family vacation, a girls weekend, fishing trip or just exploring the outdoors in this fantastic region. We have all new bedding, new furniture, new appliances, including a new washer and dryer for you to use, along with various other updates. We love this location, which is directly across from Lakeview Park, playground, and the beach area. You will be 1 mile from the Jet Express and all the shops, restaurants, bars on and around Madison St. Be sure to check out Fisherman's Wharf, the Port Clinton Lighthouse, and take a walk along the Portage River. Remember, Port Clinton is THE Walleye capital of the world, so there are plenty of top quality charters near. A short drive will get you to Camp Perry, state parks and nature preserves, Liberty Aviation Museum, the drive thru African Safari Wildlife Park, Catawba Island, Miller's Ferry and the Marblehead Lighthouse. Take a day trip to Kelleys Island or South Bass Island and visit Put-In-Bay aka the Key West of the North. Cedar Point, Kalahari and Sandusky are about 20 miles away. We also allow pets to come along. They are family too. We have a $150 non refundable pet fee.

Great experience

The location was great, a very short walk from the beach. The house was very nice and very clean. We really enjoyed the fenced in backyard with a fire pit and grill. I would definitely stay here again

Great little house suitable for a family! Kids loved the bunk beds and being so close to the park. House was well furnished and comfortable. Close to many fun activities! Would highly recommend.

Loved being close to park and Lake Erie since we had a dog. Pet friendly and great that yard was fenced in. Very easy to communicate with host and replied very quickly. Husband did work in extra sitting area by front door which was comfy for him. Neighbors were nice as well.

The property was very clean, cozy and homey. We are a family of seven and we all fit comfortably. Being right across the street from a park with a nice play ground was a bonus, all our kids had fun there. The beds are comfortable and they provided lots of extra bedding. We loved our stay here and would love to stay here again in the future!

The house a great place to relax. It’s clean,comfortable and has everything you need. We enjoyed the park in front and the backyard as well. It was close to the fishing charters and fishing was good. Looking forward to next years trip.

Great Stay In Port Clinton

My husband and I traveled to Port Clinton for a quick get-away. The house was comfortable and relaxing. The perfect home near so many amenities and great restaurants. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. We were able to see Kelley’s Island and Marblehead Lighthouse with a stop at Camp Perry. I highly recommend you stay at this wonderful home.

Lake Erie excursion

We were thrilled with our stay at the Buckeye Bungalow. The house exceeded our expectations and had everything we needed (and more) for our family of four and our dog. The close proximity to the public beach and the Jet Express made it very easy to get around, and our dog loved taking walks in the park across the street. From the booking through our checkout the communication with the owners was excellent, and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to spend some time in the Sandusky/Port Clinton area! We will definitely go back:)

Great Lakes escape

This property was great in every way. Super close to Port Clinton, front door looked out on a park and the beach, and super convenient to everything. Hosts were super communicative and lots of great information on the house and the area. They had lots of added bonuses like snacks, bottles of water, and k cups. It really added to the stay and felt like home. They even provided extras like beach towels, chairs, and a beach tent! Great supplies for a dog as well. Highly recommend the space!

Clean House and Great Location

We overall enjoyed our stay at Buckeye Bungalow. The house was clean, amenities were updated and location was good with plenty to do. The fenced in backyard and park across the street were great for our dog. We didn't end up borrowing the bikes because we just ran out of time. My only small knock was that the property listed a hot tub, which there wasn't - that was never our focus so didn't really matter to us. Overall, great stay!

Buckeye Bungalow

The pics are exactly what you get, but they don't do it justice! The kitchen has every cooking utensil/gadget you can imagine, unusual for a vacation rental! We stayed 8 nights and we were very pleased! Our fur baby LOVED the fenced in backyard as well as the park directly in front of the house! We took long evening walks all over including to see live music one night.we had long days starting at 4 am and lasting until 3 or 4 every afternoon. It was nice to come in and relax and watch some tv or play a game before our walk.We are booking our next trip within the week for next year! Thanks to Carrie, Missy and Keith!

First visit to Lake Erie

We didn't quite know what we were getting into when we ultimately decided to stay in Port Clinton. However, the location of the house across from the beach was a major advantage. It was nice to wake up and see people playing in the park during the day as well. The house provided everything we needed, after some last minute AC repairs that were handled. We were able to spend some good family time together, even though it rained two of the four days we stayed. We also enjoyed a quick drive to Cedar Point. Overall, I'm not sure we would come to the area again, just because there is not much to do. The owners and Carrie, the manager, were very helpful and responsive, which was greatly appreciated. The house/cabin was fully equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. We felt cozy the entire time during our stay. I would recommend this location for anyone visiting the area.
