About the property

Villa, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Bonefish Haven boasts its own dock and pool overlooking Silly Creek. Enjoy incredible views of the turquoise water while relaxing by the pool or take the kayaks or our new inflatable stand up paddleboards out and explore.

Bonefish Haven, Providenciales (Provo), Turks and Caicos Islands, was completed in 2005, and offers all modern holiday amenities in a tranquil setting by the Caribbean sea. This Caribbean villa is romantic as it is suitable for small families or good friends looking to wind down or create their own adventures.

The villa is Non-Smoking and has two master suites, one king and one queen bed, and en-suite baths. Each master suite has a direct view of silly creek and the ocean! The rooms are open and airy each with their own air conditioning to satisfy individual needs. They are separated by the main living area for added privacy.

Providenciales is one of the most gorgeous vacation spots in the Caribbean today! It is located about 575 miles southeast of Miami and 90 miles north of Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Relatively unspoiled, it is the island of choice for a host of sunny, island activities. It is one of the world’s top ten scuba diving destinations and is considered to have one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean. For the sports enthusiasts, Provo has a kiteboarding, windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing, biking and a whole host of other activities. Silly Creek is also known as a fly fisherman's dream. They are often seen wading out in the shallow tidal pools trying to catch the elusive bonefish.

About Tina Pic

We live in the southeast and used to work in Turks and Caicos 23 years ago when it consisted of a few dirt roads and restaurants. After years of traveling all over the world for our professions, we returned three years ago and fell in love with provo's beauty, accessibility, and offerings all over again. We are avid sports enthusiasts. On provo we can go windsurfing, sailing, and kitesurfing when the trade winds blow, and waterskiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, mountain and road biking when the winds calm. We returned late 2011 for the fourth time and found our own little piece of paradise. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

Tina Pic purchased this villa in 2012

Why Tina Pic chose Turks & Caicos Islands

The beautiful blue water and soft white sandy beaches are unmatched anywhere!!

What makes this villa unique

On low wind days, we kayak across silly creek through the drawbridge and around to the beach. it can be quite the adventure if there is a strong headwind!! We just got some stand up paddle boards and those are super fun. I sort of call it the sit down paddle board... less wind resistance!! We also love to waterski when the winds calm. Sometimes we take the ferry to North Caicos and ride our bikes to the other end of Middle and back. Windy days you will find us on Long Bay windsurfing or learning to Kiteboard (our newest adventure). We see fly fishing right in silly creek off the dock but we haven't had a chance to try it yet!!

We just returned from our week-long trip to Turks & Caicos where we loved our stay at Bonefish Haven! Upon arriving, Shelly greeted us as we exited the airport, escorted us to the house and gave us a tour of the house and grounds. We knew from the photos this place was special. However, until you are there and waking up to the beautiful views and the amazing color of the water, you don't realize what a gem of a place you've found. We have two boys ages 6 & 8. Each morning they would wake up and jump in the pool while I made breakfast. We could watch them from the kitchen or living room as they frolicked in the water as we cooked or relaxed. The pool was a perfect size for them and the evening colored lights were a hit. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the living area. They are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Both have amazing views too. Bathrooms are of good size. It was nice to have a toilet right off the deck for the boys to dry off in from their swim. The kitchen has a nice breakfast bar where the kids sat and ate each morning. It has all the necessities for cooking, grilling, etc. Our grill lighter didn't work & wasn't replaced, so we had to use some long matches we found which worked fine. The walkway down to the dock was nice and well lit at night. We enjoyed looking at the many geckos roaming around. The paddle boards and kayaks were such a plus to have. We enjoyed morning cruises around Silly Creek and got a good workout a few times as we paddled against the mild breeze. There are so many lovely homes to view w/in the Creek. You need to time your cruises with the tide. Make sure you spray yourself with bug spray especially in the morning and early evening as the mosquitos will get you. The boys snuck out to look for geckos a few times and came back with multiple bites. Bring a Benadryl stick. Having laundry on site was such a plus as we packed carry-on suitcases. The house is secluded even though there are neighbors. We would see a few kayakers each day and some jet skiers, but it was so extremely quiet and we knew our boys weren't bothering anyone when they would get excited playing in the pool. We loved our stay & can't wait to return! Helpful tips: Pack dishwasher & laundry pods, a box of Kleenex & napkins. There was no dishwashing soap & the Tide bottle was empty. Expensive at store. A normal sized broom would be nice as it was hard to sweep with the tiny brush & the straw broom in the garage was too stiff.

A little piece of paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We just came back from an awesome Chistmas vacation in Turks & Caicos and had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful villa! Shelly, the property manager met us at the airport and assisted us in picking up our rental car. She then led us to Chalk Sound. walk in the front door and suddenly the view of the turquoise water takes your breath away! You know it's going to be a good week!

The villa itself it well laid out with two master suites with ensuites at either end of the house....perfect for my husband, son and I. There's even a half bath off the pool area. The villa was clean and I loved the cream, blues, green and white "beachy" colour scheme. We had most of our family rent a house up,the street (we like our space!) and hosted dinner one evening. Everyone commented how warm and cozy our place was. Oh, and we were a group of 12 and I had plenty of plates, utensils , glasses etc for everyone.

We toured the island and would highly recommend snorkling at Coral Gardens , the semi sub tour at Smith''s Reef, shopping at the Regent (all 10 min by car)and at least one meal at La Barisas Resaurant (2 minute by car).

Also you must go the beach at Taylor Bay or our favourite, Sapodilla Beach..just 2 min. by car...just like a post card! We liked these beaches better than Grace Bay...nicer and no crowds.

If you have small kids, the location of the villa is perfect. The kids can kayak and paddle board in calm , clear waters that at high tide is only about a metre or so deep! Perfect!

I would recommend this rental to anyone! I wish we were back there right now but unfortunately I have go shovel my driveway now. : (

Bonefish Haven is superb

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Bonefish Haven for 8 nights. The accommodations were wonderful. The setting is gorgeous and incredibly quiet. If you want to get away from it all and relax, this is meant for you. The pool was cool so we did not take advantage of it as we would have liked. However, the weather has been cool in Provo so that does not help the pool from warming up. The owners are very gracious and attentive to their visitors. We would definitely stay at Bonefish Haven again. It does deserve a 5 star rating. Thank you Tina and Chris for such a nice time at your villa.

Great villa for four 29-year-olds

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from a trip with my wife and another couple. We had a blast! The villa provided some amazing views of Silly Creek. We rented a car and drove all over the island. We spent every night at the villa's pool. We grilled on the patio overlooking Silly Creek. We ate at lots of great nearby restaurants, drove to Taylor Bay and Grace Bay, and snorkeled at Smith's Reef with the villa's gear. All in all, it was exactly what we were looking for.

You can spend a lot more on other villas...but you won't get a lot more! Read the property description, it's accurate and the pix are water and all. Pool, dock, kayaks, quiet, great villa, GREAT VIEW...I'm telling you, this is it! We were 2 couples with plenty of room, bedrooms on each end of the house for privacy. We turned down a 2 bdrm oceanfront, beachfront condo on Grace Bay for Bonefish Haven and we're glad we did!

I can't add anything else about the villa, except this; it is a value. Value is not just about price, but includes what you get for the price and your overall satisfaction. This is a great value and here's why... You have the same things as a condo at one of the resorts EXCEPT, this pool is on YOUR deck, the grill is on YOUR deck, no hogging of lounge chairs...they're YOURS, the kayaks are YOURS when you want them, from YOUR own dock, the car is parked right out your front door, you have your own washer/dryer when you want it...I could go on!

This villa is unique in that you could use it either way; spend all of your time at the villa and be very satisfied with the peace & quiet, pool, villa, etc...or it makes a great "home base" if you like to explore everyday...which is what we did. Leisurely breakfast, get caught up with the grandkids on the internet, be out all day, come back after a full day of exploring and dinner to a refreshing pool and spectacular sunsets.

Bonefish Haven has the best view for sunsets on Provo, bar none. Even The Somewhere Bar doesn't have this view and they're know for the sunsets from their deck. Not taking anything away from The Somewhere...I love it and they have the best mojitos on the island...maybe anywhere! But your view from the villa is special and a pool to watch it from! (Don't take my comments lightly about the sunsets, my wife is a photographer and this view is excellent.)

Use Las Brisas as one of your restaurants too...been to Provo a couple times now and Las Brisas still has exceptional food; b'fast/lunch/dinner and right down the road from the villa. Best beach bar/restaurant is Bugaloo's in Five Cays...close to the villa too. Not as "famous" as Da Conch Shak (yet) but you can go and be one of the many that have discovered it. (Celebs go here to get away from the crowds at Grace Bay)

The owner, Tina, is wonderful to work with, prompt and genuinely nice. I feel like I've made a new friend.

Great Views

  • 4 of 5

This is a great house with fabulous views from the pool looking on Chalk Sound. Restaurants are beaches relatively close by. The kayaks are fun at high tide (not enough water at low tide). We were hoping for some sea life (fish, etc but around the 5 days we stayed here). Communication was fast and reliable. Would definitely stay here again!

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay. Sometimes the sea creatures seem to be on sabbatical around silly creek. We used to have a resident octopus but I never saw it in person - just some pictures!! Come back soon!!!

It is very private and includes your own personal dock and two one person kayaks that can be taken out exploring in either Silly Creek or out into the ocean. Grab some fishing poles or snorkeling gear and a picnic lunch and take the kayaks to nearby beaches(Taylor Bay) or lesser known private beaches where you can make your own adventure.
