Bonefish Haven, Providenciales (Provo), Turks and Caicos Islands, was completed in 2005, and offers all modern holiday amenities in a tranquil setting by the Caribbean sea. This Caribbean villa is romantic as it is suitable for small families or good friends looking to wind down or create their own adventures.
The villa is Non-Smoking and has two master suites, one king and one queen bed, and en-suite baths. Each master suite has a direct view of silly creek and the ocean! The rooms are open and airy each with their own air conditioning to satisfy individual needs. They are separated by the main living area for added privacy.
Providenciales is one of the most gorgeous vacation spots in the Caribbean today! It is located about 575 miles southeast of Miami and 90 miles north of Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Relatively unspoiled, it is the island of choice for a host of sunny, island activities. It is one of the world’s top ten scuba diving destinations and is considered to have one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean. For the sports enthusiasts, Provo has a kiteboarding, windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing, biking and a whole host of other activities. Silly Creek is also known as a fly fisherman's dream. They are often seen wading out in the shallow tidal pools trying to catch the elusive bonefish.

About Tina Pic
We live in the southeast and used to work in Turks and Caicos 23 years ago when it consisted of a few dirt roads and restaurants. After years of traveling all over the world for our professions, we returned three years ago and fell in love with provo's beauty, accessibility, and offerings all over again. We are avid sports enthusiasts. On provo we can go windsurfing, sailing, and kitesurfing when the trade winds blow, and waterskiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, mountain and road biking when the winds calm. We returned late 2011 for the fourth time and found our own little piece of paradise. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!
Tina Pic purchased this Villa in 2012
Why Tina Pic chose Providenciales
The beautiful blue water and soft white sandy beaches are unmatched anywhere!!
What makes this Villa unique
On low wind days, we kayak across silly creek through the drawbridge and around to the beach. it can be quite the adventure if there is a strong headwind!! We just got some stand up paddle boards and those are super fun. I sort of call it the sit down paddle board... less wind resistance!! We also love to waterski when the winds calm. Sometimes we take the ferry to North Caicos and ride our bikes to the other end of Middle and back. Windy days you will find us on Long Bay windsurfing or learning to Kiteboard (our newest adventure). We see fly fishing right in silly creek off the dock but we haven't had a chance to try it yet!!

Views, views, views...
We had a wonderful stay at Bonefish Haven in April 2018. My wife and two of our daughters (6, 8) loved the location and all of the amenities the house had to offer. We took daily excursions around Silly Creek on the SUP and the kayaks and spent countless hours hanging out in the pool enjoying the sun and the STUNNING views of Silly Creek. The house was extremely well appointed with all of the necessities for a week in paradise, from the fully stocked kitchen to the numerous beach towels and sets of snorkeling gear for the whole family. Each day we set out to a new part of the island of Provo for our daily activities. We spent a day on the beach in Grace Bay, snorkeled Smith's Reef, hung out with George (the local beach dog) on Taylor Bay (thanks to the excellent map Tina provided to find this little slice of secluded heaven) and jet skied in Sopadilla Bay (and wound down with a delicious rum punch afterward made right on the beach). Our favorite restaurants were Bugaloo's, da Conch Shack and Somewhere. The conch combo (fritters and cracked conch) at da Conch Shack were out of this world! We made daily shopping trips to the Smart grocery store, which is only about 5 miles from the house and has just about everything you could possibly need at very reasonable prices (relative to other options on the island). Two nights we made dinner at home and marveled at the sunset over Silly Creek, which were truly stunning. One evening while out for a quick trip on the SUP to end the day, I even got to see a sea turtle up close, just a few hundred feet off of the dock! We cannot wait to come back and spend another vacation in this lovely home and wonderful island!!!!
The property is perfect! We were comfortable and felt right at home.
From the moment we landed we felt very well cared for by Tina and Shelly, the property manager. With their help and guidance, we were able to do all of the things we hoped to do. I traveled alone with four children ages 16 thru 9. We were able to experience so much of the islands natural beauty and the hospitality of the local people! We encorporated a little bit of everything on our trip and all of the children left pleased and eager to return. Our time was so well spent that it was very difficult to leave! Everyone we met took such good care of us! Starting with Tina and Shelly!
After every journey, we were happy to return to the villa. It felt just like home. Comfortable and safe with lots of games for the kids to play at night. The pool was an excellent source of entertainment for my 9 year old son. The older girls thoroughly enjoyed nightly sunset photo shoots on the dock! My 16 year old daughter celebrated her sweet 16 there and my son celebrated his 9th birthday. The memories made there will always hold a special place in our hearts and the children will remember their special time there as well!
Magical location! Watching the light change moods on the water was mesmerizing...
Bonefish Haven is a fantastic waterfront home situated right on Silly Creek on the south side of Provo.
I must admit, on our trip in we were a bit apprehensive as the drive from the airport to the house was through largely inner Provo, heavy industrial areas and the freight port - not too scenic! Once you start seeing Chalk Sound off to the right and then make the turn down the private peninsula that is Chalk Sound Drive though, you will discover your own slice of paradise very quickly. Extremely quiet Taylor Bay Beach is minutes away (2 in the car and 10 on foot) and with the house being elevated a bit and directly on Silly Creek, the views off to the west and the sunsets are incredible. The prevailing winds blow on the backside of the house so sitting outdoors on the deck is is comfortable even in a near gale.
Tina was great and Shelly (the property manager) met us at the airport and she lead us there. The house is a "real person's" 2 BR beach or island type home rather than a pretentious, super-fancy villa. Cozy furniture, a fairly well equipped kitchen, firm beds (soon to be upgraded I hear!) and a nice pool await. A couple of I-SUP's and a pair of Kayaks were provided and the creek is about a mile long, a half mile wide and only three feet deep so exploring is a must.
The house is about 15-20 minutes to most stores and dining (not far but the speed limit is 20 or 40MPH on the island) and a bit of a haul from Long Bay Beach if you are going kite-surfing. We found everything we needed along the way between the house and Grace Bay.
We've sailed between and visited numerous Caribbean islands and Providenciales is BY FAR the friendliest, least intimidating, safest feeling and most accommodating of any we have visited. Bring lots of $$$ with you though, everything from gas to groceries to dining to activities on TCI are quite expensive. In spite of the costs we are planning a return trip already.
Great option away from Grace Bay.
From our first email to our last Tina was quick & responsive. We traveled with our 9 & 11 year old sons.
The house has a nice layout & more offerings than listed; neighborhood is safe. The kayaks, SUPs were great for the creek. The garage has beach chairs, snorkel equipment, a few sand toys, life jackets. Grill works well. Washing machine/dryer work well.
Sopadilla & Taylor Beach were our favorite (calm, quiet, shallow). We did go to Smiths Reef (there are multiple entrances, make sure you get to a point to see the reefs...and remember it gets choppy if windy), Coral Gardens (great snorkeling for young kids), Grace Bay.
We visited every grocery store 🙄. The Graceway IGA was easiest and had the most but beer was expensive here.
I would HIGHLY recommend a car to get around. We rented a midsize sadan and it was fine on the roads.
Would not hesitate to rent from Tina again as we like a house that is away from the congestion of the more popular touristy beaches.
Bonefish Haven is Awesome!
Loved this place! We had a wonderful vacation! So quite and low key. Hope to visit again some day in the future.
Very nice owner, vet helpful.
Villa is well equipped with very comfy beds!
We'll be back!
Bonefish Haven is located on Silly Creek about 2 miles down Chalk Sound Drive. It is very private and includes your own personal dock and two one person kayaks that can be taken out exploring in either Silly Creek or out into the ocean. Grab some fishing poles or snorkeling gear and a picnic lunch and take the kayaks to nearby beaches(Taylor Bay) or lesser known private beaches where you can make your own adventure.
