This house is just stunning in every way. Everyone we dealt with in booking & staying there was attentive, prompt, and extraordinarily kind. I would recommend this 100% of the time for groups wanting an elegant but comfortable respite from the world that takes your breath away.
Property was very nice and clean. Owner met us there upon check in to go through the house and make sure we knew where everything was. Very good experience. We will be bringing our team back soon.
This home is absolutely beautiful, and the setting is stunning! The location couldn’t have been better—just about 15 minutes to downtown Franklin, 10 minutes to Leiper’s Fork, and around 35 minutes to Nashville. It was the perfect home base for our group, and we loved being able to spend quality time together under one roof. One thing future guests should know: we had a group of 16 family members and friends. While the home is advertised as having 7 bedrooms & can accommodate 18 ppl, it’s best suited for 7 adult couples. Accommodating the 16 adults we had can be a bit challenging unless some of the guests are children, as the additional sleeping arrangements involve sharing a bedroom or using a daybed. Also, the two beds in the room advertised as queen beds felt closer to full-size beds.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. The home, the property, and the location made for a fantastic experience! And Austin, on-site host was very responsive to our texts!
We reserved this property to host a group of 25 women for a birthday event. In the months leading up to our stay, Austin went above and beyond to communicate with party hosts and help them thoughtfully coordinate the details of this event. The grounds are serene and the home is breathtaking! Floor to ceiling windows throughout, filled with natural light from the gorgeous and green landscape. The expansive, multi-level home was perfect for our large group to spread out and enjoy all of the different areas. We are already making plans to book again!
Dark Horse Manor is a grand estate, very large rooms and every bedroom has an ensuite. This estate is really unique - you will never find another property like it! The grounds are so beautiful, private and- quiet. Yet, it is just 10 -15 minutes from grocery stores, etc. We were allowed to bring a very well trained standard poodle with us - he is a therapy dog. Our House Manager, Austin, lives on the property and was there to help us in minutes of our text to him. It was a wonderful place for a family gathering.
This gorgeous manor house was even more than we expected. The photos online are beautiful, but they really don’t do it justice - it is Grand! The setting is so quiet and peaceful that you don’t want to leave. The bedrooms and bathrooms (with marble showers) are lavishly roomy and comfortable and some are equipped with their own kitchenette. The main living room and kitchen are large enough for 12 or more to gather and dine.
While we were there, we were given a tour of the music studio where many famous singers recorded their albums. The owner and manager were so nice to deal with and they could not have been more accommodating.
This place is magical!
