Beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath home on Elm Island bay off of the Fox River in Waterford, WI. This home has all of the charm of an up-north cabin, but is fully updated and just a short 30 minute drive from Milwaukee and less than an hour from Chicago's northern suburbs. Single story home with little to no stairs required to get to the water less than twenty steps from the back door. Wood burning stove and tongue and groove pine finishes give you that up north feel, but all of the updates will make you feel right at home. Laundry on the living level and two full bathrooms offer convenience and comfort. Sleeping arrangements for 11 if needed: Master bedroom features a queen size memory foam bed, 2nd bedroom facing the water has a bunk bed with full size mattress on the bottom and a twin on the top, 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed with full size mattress on the bottom and a twin on the top, living room couch pulls out into a queen size sleeper sofa, and love seat folds down into a single bed. Kitchen table seating for six or seven people, with additional stools and eating area at the island. All kitchen appliances are less than 4 years old, including refrigerator, stove, and over the range microwave. Bring your fishing poles and swim trunks - the Fox River and Lake Tichigan are abundant with Largemouth Bass and Catfish, and provide plenty of opportunity for Bluegills, Northern Pike, Walleye, and an occasional Trout. Lake Tichigan is great for swimming or boating, and there are more than one restaurants accessible by boat and provide docking. Bring your own boat and keep it on the private pier or take advantage of the complimentary paddle boat that is already in the water waiting for you. Pontoon rentals are available at the marina (River City Marina-Waterford) less than one mile down the river by boat or automobile. Elm Island bay is a shallow low-traffic bay off of the Fox River and is home to swans and abundant wildlife. Fishermen frequent the bay in search of Largemouth Bass, Bluegills, and Catfish, all of which can be caught right from the pier. Swimming in Elm Island Bay (off the pier) is not desirable due to shallow water, lillypads, weeds and mucky bottom. In the evening you can have a fire in the back yard or in the house, but the furnace will keep you warm if desired or central air is there to cool you down. Upgraded to 60 Mbps Wi-Fi (June 2017) and 46" LED TV will keep you entertained if the fishing and lake cannot. Spectrum HD cable with approximately 120 channels available and also HD upconvert DVD player. Please come relax and enjoy all that the beautiful Fox River and Lake Tichigan have to offer year-round.

Why Grant Horn chose Waterford
Relaxation in a cozy atmosphere with serene view and the feeling of being away from it all. Priced affordably for everyone without cleaning fees, management fees, or hidden costs for groups of six or less, but can accommodate a larger family for slightly more if needed.
What makes this House unique
Our home is located on a peninsula which is bordered by the Fox River and Elm Island Bay. The bay looks like a small lake, but is connected to the river which is navigable with any outboard motor for nearly seven miles. Lake Tichigan is a beautiful lake north of our home that is a gorgeous, winding river ride away, boasting depths of 60 feet, sandbars, a nature conservancy, great fishing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing, and swimming. It is the home of an annual hot air balloon festival, a fireworks show launched from the center of the lake on the 4th of July, and of course an annual boat tie-up party with a band on a barge. Waterford has fun for all seasons including hiking, biking, fall colors, Bird watching, ice fishing, cross country skiing, and two downhill ski hills within 25 minutes of our home. Elm Island Bay is home to swans, blue herons, sand hill cranes, ducks, bluegills, bass, catfish, and even some walleye and northern pike. Our pier/dock stays in the water and ice year round without damage, allowing anglers to fish as soon as the ice is gone and up to the minute that it first freezes.

Relaxing & Cozy Home!
This property exceeded our expectations. It was great to wake up to the sounds of nature all around while sitting on the back porch and to enjoy a nice indoor fire before bed. Grant was excellent as he was literally just a text or call away if we had any questions. You won’t go wrong if you stay here! We’ll rent again when we’re back in the area.
Terrific in every way!
I’m a repeat guest at this lovely waterfront property and will undoubtedly be back in the future. It has everything you could need and Grant is wonderful to work with. Plenty of room for everyone (even the dogs!) and much more comfortable than a hotel. The outdoor space is a real bonus!
Excellent toilet paper!
Great getaway place!
Five of us got together for a girlfriend getaway and this was perfect! Plenty of room, nice kitchen with all we needed, beautiful view, area nice to walk around, clean, plenty of hot water, easy to find. Highly recommend!
A lovely little getaway
My friend and I had a wonderful long weekend at Grant's adorable cottage on the water. Grant was extremely considerate and the place was very clean and tidy. He left us a lovely bottle of wine, dry wood in the fireplace, and the coffeemaker was all set up for morning coffee. Although it was a cold and rainy weekend, we enjoyed exploring quaint Waterford, dined at Doc's on the Fox and Cafe 213, ordered Italian delivery the final night and mostly relaxed by the fire while listening to and watching the many geese on the water. We hope to return again to take advantage of the water.
Cozy cottage with lovely views of water.
We felt right at home the moment we arrived. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen and lovely surroundings. We took our dogs for a walk around the neighborhood and were impressed by the friendliness of people in the area. Thanks for a wonderful, peaceful stay.
