This condo participates in our Fresh Bed Program which provides freshly laundered coverlets with each new arrival. These coverlets provide a lightweight and comfortable sleeping experience, no matter the season.

Island Winds West is situated directly on the beach in the heart of Gulf Shores and is the very first complex you'll see when turning onto West Beach Boulevard. In fact it's the hottest ticket in accommodations for all of the local festivals as it is only 1 block from the Hangout!

The gulf front views at Island Winds West are second to none plus you're within walking distance to restaurants shopping and nightlife making this an ideal location for travelers of all ages. This adorable 1 bedroom 1 bath condo is Gulf front with a Queen bed. This unit has an open concept and the bedroom is completely open to the hallway.

Tired of dining out? No problem staying in is a breeze with a fully-equipped kitchen. This vacation rental also offers a washer and dryer FREE WIFI a fitness room on site a gulf front pool and a separate children's pool. When not playing on the beach you are sure to enjoy the view from your private gulf front balcony. This 720 sq ft 6th floor Efficiency Style 1 Bedroom Condo is non-smoking.

If you are looking for a place to stay during The National Shrimp Festival or the Hangout Music Festival this is right in the middle of the action.

Payment for parking passes will be collected separately. Once purchased, passes will be picked up on-site at the property and will be valid for the duration of your stay.

During the spring break season, between the dates of March 1 through April 30 of each year, the person booking the reservation must be 25 years of age or older and must be present to physically check in at our office with your government issued ID present.

Real nice location and access to beach. Furnishings could stand an upgrade chairs and couch were pretty worn and uncomfortable. Fine for 2 people that spend most of the time out - staff was friendly and property appeared clean and safe.

Perfect location

Perfect location and perfect view. Met all of our needs. My only suggestion for improvement is there should be extra pillow cases for the extra pillows in the closet.

Spectacular View

The view was amazing. Can watch fishermen, and anyone using the beach walk by all day long if you wish ! Center of the building was ideal and close to the elevator. The furniture is a little dated and chairs/couch are uncomfortable. Bathroom is small. The bathtub drains well but has a dip in it and holds water. Overall, we enjoyed staying here !

Great location and responsive/accommodating host

This was a great house/location. Juan was very helpful getting us in early due to inclement weather issues. The stairs are very steep and the only bathrooms are upstairs - so something to be mindful of if you have older or very young kids in your party. My only "issue" is the towels were very worn and looked dingy and should be replaced. Would be great for a larger family and the backyard was perfect for our dogs. Thank you!

Good location, but with all the fees the price is almost double from what was advertised. Then a $45 parking pass added insult. Tub drained slowly, over stove light didn't work, and a couple of the electric receptacles didn't work right.

It was too much family focused. Loud and noises. It was too dated. Need a new couch and a king size bed. Wasn’t what I was looking for…a miss on my part.

The property was amazing, besides the experience we had with the front desk lady during check in… We walked in to check in to the hotel and the lady gave a very negative vibe/ attitude. We were trying to check in and she was not very polite to us or another guest that just had a simple question about parking passes. The woman at the front desks name was Elena, she caught an attitude with us also. I told her to have a nice day and she proceeded to give me a mean look and was not very helpful with any questions we had. Also online it was stated that parking passes were $28 and when we got there one parking pass was $45. I did not appreciate having to pay more than what was being advertised.

We booked through Young’s Suncoast and check in with them was amazing as well as the property itself, very clean and perfect location. As for getting our parking passes that was a whole different story ..the lady at the desk was so rude to an elder woman in front of me..she had simply asked if they were allowed to park in a certain area and the lady responded she didn’t know, that she doesn’t normally work there and didnt know why they put her in this old “flinstone” office and she could come back at 1130pm and maybe someone then would know the answer. The lady behind the desk continued to rant, rave and cuss about having to be there and she didn’t care if she got fired as she was slamming drawers looking for a parking pass for me, she told me it was $50 and I simply asked her if that was right as we were told it would be $28, she responded “I told you $50 and that’s what it is” and that she couldn’t help what I was told they were wrong! My friend came in about 10 mins later and the worked was STILL cussing and ranting, even shooting the bird say she didn’t care if they caught her and fired her….but besides that it was amazing!!

We wish we’d known about the construction going on. Mattress wasn’t very comfy. Needs blackout curtain for the bedroom. Other than that it’s a beautiful property. Great location. Very clean. We walked a lot. We always stay at island winds west. It’s centrally located. We will book again for sure.

Mother Daughter get-away

My daughter and I needed a few days. This was perfect. Right on the beach, walking access to restaurants. The room was as posted, clean and quiet. It was a little difficult in finding the office for our parking pass because we checked in late in the evening but the security guard was very helpful. I would recommend this. Perfect for 2 but sleeps up to 4.

Great stay with a couple of speed bumps

The property was great. The location is great. Would have 5 starred everything, however, the shear curtains in the bedroom and the intensity of the outside/hallway lights made sleeping difficult at best. Additionally, the bed was quite hard. I like a firm bed, but this was hard for even me. The condo is beautifully furnished and in great shape. Put up room darkening curtains and a slightly softer mattress and I would rent it again.
