Lakefront cottage-gas fire pit, hammock, kayaks & gorgeous views!

Relax & take in the beautiful sunsets over High Rock Lake from one of multiple property vantage points this well appointed lake cottage offers!

Guests may watch their favorite YouTube TV, HULU & ESPN shows & games on the 55" covered screen porch TV overlooking the lake!

The home features 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, with amenities including plush bed linens, towels, full length mirrors, hair dryers, curling irons, soap, shampoo/conditioner, makeup wipes, and more. King & Queen bedrooms each have their own 32" TV's, as well as black out curtains for sleeping in.

The living room boasts a 55" TV, electric fireplace and queen size sofa bed. The well equipped kitchen not only offers several small appliances, dishwasher, and microwave, but also many single serve sized condiments, creamers, and sweeteners.

The property offers so many ways to enjoy the lake & the outdoors. Drink your morning coffee, while enjoying the peaceful morning lake view from the high Adirondack deck chairs. Pass time playing one of the board games or putting one of the puzzles together on the screened porch high-top table overlooking the lake, or stretch out on the mostly shaded 2nd level deck hammock (March - November) with a novel from our cabinet. Enjoy time on the water with our four kayaks. Barbecue on the porch propane grill, while watching your favorite show or the big game on the 55" TV (house equipped with YouTube TV, HULU & ESPN). Enjoy the lake breeze while listening to your favorite tunes through the Bluetooth sound bar on the lakeside screened porch. Fish from the dock, sit by the propane firepit in the evening...the list of relaxing things to do outside at the property goes on and on!

Bring your small boat or jet skis!
Guests may access the lake from the ramp less than a 1/2 mile from the property (extra $100 Boat Ramp Fee applies). Host must be present for guest to put their watercraft in & pull it out of the lake, as there is a neighborhood ramp access code required. Ramp is on the narrow side with a tight turn into open water. Since there isn’t a dock at the ramp, two people would be needed to put in/pull out of water.

If you do venture away from the lake, fantastic restaurants, breweries, wineries, as well as live music, shopping, museums, cinema/theatre, and other entertainment opportunities are just minutes away in Lexington, NC!

Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Towels & Linens: Do not strip beds. If sofa bed is used, please leave it pulled out. Please do NOT wash properly towels or linens. Please leave all wet towels/cloths hanging.
Replace covers on all amenities (porch tv, grill, fire pit.). Turn off porch fan. Lower deck umbrellas & secure. Return kayaks & paddles to racks. Leave life jackets out under screened porch to dry.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests must sign and return a liability waiver prior to renting. Waiver is emailed after booking and must be returned within 7 days.
Guests must not attempt to use any property amenity that appears damaged in any way, but rather notify the hosts immediately upon discovery.
No parties or fireworks of any kind permitted. Max guest # includes visitors. Exceptions may be requested and must be preapproved in writing.

Perfect Lake Getaway!

Wonderfully modern, yet with the cottage feel we wanted. Many extra touches by the owner made us feel like we were her special guests. Checkin-out was easy, plenty of parking spaces. We brought our kayaks and there was space under the deck to store them and easy to put in at the dock. Loved the spacious screened in porch and also options for sitting on the decks. We look forward to staying again!

Perfect getaway!

We had a FANTASTIC experience booking with Jen, and the property was amazing. There were such great views and outdoor space that we enjoyed each day of our trip. The cottage inside was also perfect for our group. Inside the cottage included a spacious kitchen and dining area, a very comfortable living room (with a pullout couch), and two great bedrooms upstairs. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. All around, this was a great space for our weekend getaway, and we all left saying we can’t wait to come back and stay at the cottage again!

Loved everything!!

My mom and I enjoyed some girl-time. We had long days of travel to get to the house, and were so pleasantly surprised when we got there. Absolutely adorable and perfect for us to spend time watching movies, enjoying the sunset on the porch, coffee on the front porch and visiting. We were so comfortable in every way. The hosts went above and beyond for us, even had fresh florals to greet us. The house was seasonally and tastefully decorated and they thought of every detail. They were very accommodating when our flights got changed and let us stay longer than normal check-out. We loved our getaway. Highly recommend!!!!

Peaceful lake retreat

I found Jen's place when I was looking for a lake rental for my husband's birthday weekend. When we arrived, Jen had left birthday cupcakes and a candle on the counter. What a lovely surprise! No problems from booking to check out. We have stayed at 20 or more rentals from coast to coast and this was the nicest. We had everything we needed. It is beautifully furnished and decorated. We felt at home the second we walked in. It is THE CLEANEST rental we have ever had. Great outdoor seating options. The view is amazing!! Our stay was so relaxing and quiet. We also spent some time downtown Lexington. Starting at Red Donuts. They have perhaps the best donuts I have ever eaten. We visited several quaint shops. Everyone was so friendly. The Candy Factory was so fun! We were a big hit with the grandkids when we got home. We will definitely be back. Don't hesitate to hit the "Reserve Now" button, you will NOT be disappointed.

We live nearby in North Carolina and love everything about the area! We enjoy lake activities, as well as all the cool shopping, restaurants, breweries, and live entertainment available in Lexington, as well as nearby Spencer & Salisbury.

Hosting events has always been a passion of ours. When we were able to get this property on the lake, it seemed like the perfect opportunity not only to share it with others, but do all the extra special things to make our guests feel super welcome!

Between the property's Lexington location, it's lake access & amazing views, and the extra amenities we share, we aim to provide the perfect opportunity for guests to make beautiful & stress free vacation memories!

The sunsets are amazing!
After choosing the property, we were pleasantly surprised by so many things! The neighbors are wonderful and since it is on a dead end road, there is very little traffic. There is also great fishing straight from the dock. We also love watching all the birds, which sometimes includes bald eagles!

What makes this property unique

The property was newly remodeled & furnished in 2024, tons of extra amenities, and location, location, location!

In 2024, the interior of the home has been repainted, a new covered front porch constructed, the yard has been newly landscaped, and new floors, kitchen & bath cabinets with quartz countertops were installed. All large appliances are new (2023/24), with nearly all of the small appliances, bedding, linens and furniture new in 2024 as well.

If you're planning a short stay and the thought of shopping for and/or packing basic items (not typically provided by hosts) is a pain, we've got you covered! Life jackets, fishing poles, beach towels, throw blankets, novels/books, shampoo/conditioner, makeup wipes, condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo packets), salt, pepper, sugar & artificial sweeteners, assorted coffee creamer cups, tea bags, hot cocoa packets, napkins and more are on us!

If there's something you forgot to bring that we don't provide, there are 2 stores within a 4 minute drive from the house that will probably have it (clothing, groceries, toiletries, etc.). Not only is the location of the house convenient to local shopping, restaurants and other activities, it is on the Abbotts' Creek channel of High Rock Lake. This side of the lake tends to be a little quieter than the main channel, but also offers fantastic fishing opportunities. If you don't have a boat, you can be successful fishing right from the dock!
