Horn Lake Cottage Rental - 4 season - Burk's Falls, Ontario

A quaint, 3 bedroom cottage, with beds to comfortably sleep 8. Fully equipped kitchen, sunroom, and large deck with large private yard surrounded by woods. Makes an ideal family getaway. There is TV (satellite) X2, with Blue ray player.

Fully winterized. Easy access to snowmobile trails.

Not on the waterfront but you can see it across the road and just a 30 second walk to access a beach area with private boat launch and dock (shared with 2 other of my rental cottages) available for your use. Public boat launch just around the corner.
Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and pedal boat available for use.

You must bring your own linens - bedding, towels, and dish towels. Please bring your own blankets/comforters or sleeping bags.

Toilet paper, dish soap and shampoo etc., not supplied.

*** This is a self clean rental, YOU MUST CLEAN before you leave, cleaning supplies provided. If cleaned properly cleaning fee will be returned. Due to COVID we will clean extra between rentals.

The property has a septic system.
The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime.

There is a backup generator if needed.

Firewood can be purchased on or off site.

Please control garbage to keep animals away, we can arrange for removal of garbage.

The property is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

Note** in nature and around water noise travel’s extremely well, this site is not to be used by loud noisy groups or for parties, there are other cottages in the vicinity that need to be respected

Excellent weekend getaway

My son and husband share the same birthday. Both wanted to go fishing and enjoy being at a cottage on a lake for their birthday. We booked a few weeks ahead of our stay. Lori and Nick were quick to answer any questions we had. The cottage is well equipped and area is very quiet. I would definitely recommend booking the cottage.

Perfectly relaxing

Beautiful area and so peaceful! The cottage was perfect for our group! We enjoyed some canoeing, swimming, the games room, campfire and more! We are definitely looking forward to another trip here next year! Had a great time!!

Awesome!

My husband and I were very impressed with our stay. The water was like glass and great fishing. The cabin had everything you would need to be comfortable and the owners treated you like family. We are going back next year we enjoyed it so much, very relaxing holiday. Thank you Nick and Laurie.!

The cottage was both cozy and spacious

Our family of six had a great time at this cottage. Lori was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this rental for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Only drawback is that it's not right on the water but that's clearly stated in the description and the short walk didn't bother us at all as our kids are older.

Great getaway.

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The cottage was comfortable and spacious with a lovely deck and backyard. We enjoyed using the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat and sitting on the dock.

The photos of property are the same when you get there

I had a very nice time at Nick's and Lori cottage the photos you see on the site look's as they are and even better it is very beautiful there . The cottage is very clean and my bed was very comfortable the water with the dock was Fantastic to see the sunset ever night and have a fire I had a great time and my sister did two I like to thank Lori she is a very good host I will come back Thank you Laura & Brenda

Relaxing Holiday

We went for a family holiday and found the cabin a comforting area. The items provided such as bbq, paddle boat and boards, canoe and kayaks, top notch. The owners were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The lake was extremelly clean. Sitting on the dock was very comfortable and our oldest granddaughter caught many small fish off the dock.

This was amazing and well maintained.

We have enjoyed a lot. Hope will come soon again. Everything was amazing. Best part was the back yard so spacious we played so many games. It was really amazing experience.

Great stay if you love the water

It's a big enough cottage for around 8 people. It has a lot of amenities, but the best is the canoes and kayaks available whenever we wanted to use it. The dock was perfect for chilling near the water, and the night sky was amazing the two nights we stayed. Lieing on the dock and watching the night sky and the shooting stars was the highlight of the trip. There is no air conditioning, so it might get a bit hot, but there were fans around, so it wasn't too bad.

So great!

We stayed here with my husband, two young children and my parents. It was fantastic. The lake area has a small beach for the kids to play and the water is also really calm. The cottage has everything you need and the back yard is so relaxing! We had a great time!

Amazing time

We packed the house with 4 adults and 4 kids plus 3 dogs and everyone had a great time. The cottage was clean and cozy. All the camping experiences we like (BBQ, sitting fire side, nature walks, swimming etc) were accomplished with the benefit of actual beds for my older parents. The kids loved the lake and the space to play and explore. The adults were all sad to leave lol. The only down side was the bugs. Seriously. Make sure you have a good mosquito repellant for those dawn and dusk critters. Despite them this was our favourite vacation spot so far. We definitely recommend.

Beautiful place with lots of interesting activities, nice host

I booked this place to celebrate my dad's birthday. We have a lot of fun here, there are kayak, canoe, paddle board for you to use and is free. There is a private dock shared with few other cottages. We also did fishing, but there's no fish maybe is too cold. We also get a chance to make camp fire and BBQ. At night we can see lots of stars, milky way, and we also spotted some shooting stars. The house is as described, Lori is very nice and helpful. We have lots of great memories here.

Great getaway.

It was good. We could tell the owner has been making many improvements to the property. The water sports equipment was good, canoe, etc. The paddle boat needs work. It would not go forward, just kept turning in a circle. I am sure it could be fixed. Nice area.

Enjoyable, quiet cottage getaway.

This is a comfortable 3 bedroom cottage with a private backyard that's great for families with young kids. Although it's across the road from the lake you still have access to a private beach area and free use of canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and a pedal boat. Incase of rain there is also a games room you can use and a large DVD library. We only stayed for 2 nights but but still managed to relax and get in swimming, boating, fishing, badminton (in the backyard), campfire (also in backyard), board games, barbecue on the deck and exploring the woods. The kids had a great time. Parts of the property are a bit dated but everything was clean and well maintained and there have been recent updates like a new well and water filter system that make for excellent drinking water. The kitchen is a bit small and could do with a makeover but it's fully stocked with mostly new looking pots and pans and cutlery. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. We would consider coming here again if the opportunity arises.

Needs improvement

Our main purpose of this cottaeg rental is for us to relax away from the city, however the owner of the property keep monitoring on us every single move. The owner just lived across the street. The barbeque grill is dirty and falling apart.
