Perfect location with free parking!

Great value! This place was in a perfect location, quick walk to the beach. Also, we had everything we needed to make a steak dinner, mashed potatoes, toast etc. So it was well-appointed. Very comfortable bed. Pool was nice, too.

Great place to stay in the heart of Waikiki!

This was the perfect setup for our 6-day stay on Oahu. Easy walk to the beach and tons of shopping. After a quick trip to get groceries, we were able to see all the sights. The traveler's guidebook in the apartment was helpful (albeit outdated) in getting the insider's scoop on things to do. Since my husband isn't able to do a lot of walking we had a car rented the entire stay and were able to go places on our own and at our leisure. Onsite parking (under the structure) was included in the price. The parking spots were smallish, so rent a smaller car if possible. Waimea Valley Falls/Botanical Garden was a shorter, easier walk (the walkway is paved) than several others so we chose to go there and really enjoyed the flora. Unfortunately, the falls weren't as impressive as the advertising since it hadn't rained very much. Swimming at the falls is allowed with the REQUIRED life jacket, available free at the falls. Bring water shoes as the rocks at the falls are rough. Overall, it was a really nice stay!

Overnight stop

Very secure location. Made it a bit disjointed to check in, but not a big deal. Received 4 sets of check in instructions and a 2 PDFs. Might be able to streamline that a bit. Mahalo.

Safety Concern

I’ve enjoyed VRBO over the years. You can infer the condition of the place and the ownership by the price. This is my first cautionary review. The deal-breaker was a woman screaming for help from her apartment down the hall. Three of us came out of our rooms to ensure her safety. Her boyfriend fled as we were trying to call the police. Two long-term residents on the floor reported earlier incidents of domestic conflicts. Is the place safe? Let the visitor beware.

I am happy that guest recognized how much care we put into maintaining our apartments. In regards to the situation described: Marine Surf Waikiki is a safe and well secured condominium with "family friendly" vibe. *** We have 24/7 security on duty *** Incidents like the one described are extremely rare but could happen anywhere and are entirely outside of our control.
