Nice cabins

Have stayed here many times previous with different owners. Accomodations are clean and functional. Great for a deer hunting week cabin.

Great stay!

Great stay. My wife and I were looking for a secluded, quiet weekend away and got all of that and more. Beautiful view of the lake from the campfire, with yard games and kayaks as well. Our dog loved the lake access, and hosts were very responsive. 10/10!

Great option for visiting kids at Ferris Stare

Our stay was great! The cottage was clean and comfortable. The common areas had games. We sat in lounge chairs at the lake watching the sunset. Great alternative for visiting kids at Ferris State. They really appreciated the home cooked meal that we could provide since we were not in a hotel.

Chippewa

Check in process a nightmare..wifi code give not spelled right so wouldn't work. Went to library for wifi to be able to get code. Driveway had big potholes.

This was one of the most frustrating vacation experiences we’ve ever had, and our 4th of July weekend was completely ruined. The cabin was nothing like what was advertised. The listing is misleading, and the host appears to have mixed photos from another property. The biggest disappointment was arriving to find there was no deck in the backyard, even though the pictures suggested otherwise. Not beachfront, nor lake view in reality. Not worth.The cabin had a strong musty odor that made it unpleasant to stay in. There was female hair on one of the towels, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness. The ceiling was chipped, the stove had a broken knob, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the toilet had to be flushed 2–3 times and clogged easily. This property is also not child-friendly.We booked a 3-night stay but couldn’t tolerate the conditions and left the very next morning. Instead of acknowledging the problems or trying to make things right, the host refused to issue any refund despite the misleading listing and obvious maintenance issues. The host was unprofessional, dismissive, and unwilling to work toward a fair resolution.We spent months looking forward to celebrating the holiday with our family, only to have our plans completely ruined. We lost both our vacation and our money. I would strongly advise future guests to think twice before booking this property unless the listing accurately reflects its condition and these issues are properly addressed.

We’re disappointed to see this review because the concerns described here were never raised during the stay. The only concern the guest communicated after checking in was that Cabin 7 was farther from the lake than he expected, and he specifically requested to be moved to Cabin 2 or 3 because they were closer to the lake. When we were unable to accommodate that request, he chose to leave the following day. None of the issues now described in this review — including the alleged odor, cleanliness concerns, broken stove knob, uncomfortable bed, toilet problems, or other maintenance issues — were mentioned to us during the stay. Had any of these concerns been brought to our attention, we would have had the opportunity to address them immediately and provide a walkthrough video or clarification if needed. After the stay, the guest disputed the same reservation twice, and on both occasions we provided information and evidence confirming that the listing accurately represented the unit and that he had stayed in the same unit shown in the listing. We stand by the accuracy of our listing and believe the review is not a fair representation of the actual stay.
