Wonderful Vacation in Caye Caulker

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful vacation my family had in Belize and this home definitely contributed to it!

We stayed 5 nights on Caye Caulker in this beautiful and comfortable home. I picked it because it appeared to have room for us all and also a very comfortable living space - I was not disappointed! I was worried about how we would get from the boat to the home with ALL our stuff but Michael (the house manager) arranged for a golf cart taxi to pick us up and there was plenty of room for us and all our things. The driver is one they use regularly and he was super helpful about providing us info about the island. Michael and CC also provided bikes for my whole family for just $5/per person a day - what a deal! No need really for a golf cart here unless you are traveling w/ someone who is unable to bike. My youngest son enjoyed climbing the ladder to sleep in the loft and the fan and an open window provided plenty of air circulation. (it may be a bit hot in warmer months but perfect for January) The remainder of the house has a/c. The pool is lovely and has very comfortable chairs for lounging. We had it to ourselves one day but enjoyed getting to know the folks who arrived a day later - although we didn't really see them that much. One thing I will say is that this home is about a 10 minute bike ride from the split which is where the beach and the shops etc. on the island are, but we enjoyed the bike riding to get there, plus we were not bothered by all the cruise ship people who descend daily on the island. There are also many grocery stores on the island so you can fill up your bike baskets and dine at home if you wish. We did not scuba dive but did do a fun 1/2 day diving trip with Caveman - would highly recommend them!! Also check out the rooftop Yoga at Namaste cafe - donation only a lot of fun and great view!! We would definitely recommend this island and this home and would certainly go back there again

Hidden gem!

Lovely, quiet house off the beaten path a bit. Impeccably maintained and well-equipped. Perfect for families. We had an amazing week here!

Lovely spacious house on chilled caye caulker

  • 5 of 5

The house is in a quiet location on the island, easy biking distance to reach everything. On site managers are really pleasant and able to effortlessly organise anything you may need. Including bike rental for 5 usd a day, creates of beer, refils for the water dispenser and golf cart taxi services.

The house is spacious with essential air con in the bedrooms and ceiling fans everywhere. The pool is lovely, in quiet gardens frequented by hummingbirds and lizards. Our only discomfort was with the mosquitoes, which bit us mercilessly, especially after a storm. The house is well protected from the bugs with screens.

The island itself is totally chilled, lots of chances to meet local people who are always friendly. Very good Belizian food available in tiny unassuming locations, often just an extension to their homes, with a few tables outside.

If you are looking to escape the rat race and experience paradise, this is the place to go.

Best spot in Belize!

  • 5 of 5

Loved this place! We were vacationing with 4 people (2 couples). The house is massive, so we had tons of space. We each had our own ACed bedrooms with queen size beds. The living room and kitchen were large and a great place to hang out. There are also 2 full bathrooms, which was awesome. The host arranged a taxi to pick us up from the ferry. We immediately got set up with bicycles and Michael even got us a case of beer! The swimming pool is shared with a separate single bedroom unit, which was unoccupied when we were there so we got the entire pool to ourselves. The pool area was our favorite place to lounge and get out of the heat. The house is located on the southern end of the Island and most of the bars and rentals were located more north. Everything was a short bike ride away because the island is so small. The house felt safe. Tons of great places to eat on Caye Caulker. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

Nice vacation home

  • 4 of 5

This is a wonderful vacation home. Go ahead and get bicycles day 1 to get around the island. The pool is shared with another smaller home-maybe I overlooked that, I thought it was private.

A gem in Caye Caulker

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for a brief getaway. Since the early 90s I've been staying in all parts of Belize, mostly in San Pedro. Caye Caulker reminds me of San Pedro from then. This home was clean, spacious, on a terrific side street with a sparkling refreshing pool. The management was helpful and friendly. Would certainly stay here again when I'm back.
