Relaxing Weekend on Lake Ontario
My friends and I rented this property for the weekend from Lucille. The place was well cleaned and we ran into no problems with the kitchen, bedrooms, etc. The views of the lake were spectacular and access to a grill and fire pit made the weekend unforgettable. Lucille was quick to respond. Looking forward to renting this place again someday!
Fun, relaxing stay
I spent 3 nights here, it's a nice little spot. Interior is clean and welcoming. Neighbors are friendly. The pebble beach in front of cottage was my favorite area to kick back, the view never gets old. Cottage stays pretty cool throughout the day, even without AC. The fans definitely help. The one thing might be that there are a good amount of gnats after sunset, but its not a deal breaker. Owner was very responsive and helpful with everything. Great place, would definitely go again!
Blue Lagoon is a great get-away!
I really enjoyed my stay. Everything you could need was there (except a corkscrew- fortunately I had one in my purse). The peace and quite were just what I needed.
nice cottage , I would stay there again
You get what you pay for.
When we booked this home we were not expecting much. We rent a house every year and we knew that for this price it wouldn't be great. What we were not expecting was the mouse poop in the silverware drawer, the strong smell of mold, and the dog hair that was everywhere. Beware- unlike the listing states, there is no a/c at this place. Luckily, this vacation was about a place to sleep and not a place to enjoy.
The cottage has been fully cleaned, although there was no evidence of mouse poop, dog hair or mold smell. This is a cottage and will smell musty when you first arrive as it is an older home.
There is not air conditioning, which is stated in the listing.
Unfortunately, not every guest expects a cottage to be a cottage. This is a lovely place to stay and enjoy the waterfront.
Great Lake, House in need of repair
We loved the Beach front property. I have a few sons and they loved skipping rocks on the water. However the roof is caving in. Which was a little concerning. The refridgerator ran non stop and the floors are uneven. The screen on the door in missing and the furniture is out dated and tearing. I would not recommend this house for the price we paid, the camp ground 10 minutes away is a lot less money and you won't have to worry about the roof caving in on you.
We have replaced the roof, a new refrigerator has been added and screen door is fixed. Alot for your money when you consider what a night at a hotel cost and what time you have to be out.
Niagara County Winetrail, churches, Darien Lake Theme Park, Seneca Niagara Casino, all watersports (you provide your own equipment/boat). Boat launch 3 miles down the road. Restaurants within 30 miles, shopping within 30 miles.
