On arrival, there was no one to greet us. We called the number on the website and was given instructions on where to find the key. We then went out to get some basics and left the key in the door. We were locked out as there is only one entrance to the property. Had to call the Contact and luckily was able to re-enter via a window. It should be made clear to guests that you cannot leave the key in the door, as if shut, you get locked out and this also happened to our neighbors the next day. The bedding was stained and that was very uncomfortable for our family. We were told that all of the bedding is stained due to suncream used by other guests and was given the option to change but it may not have changed anything as it appeared that all of the bedding would be stained. This is unacceptable, bedding should be clean and seen as such. New bedding should be provided to guests. Toilet paper could not be used in the toilets and this information should be communicated to guests so they could make an informed decision on whether to choose such a villa. The television did not work properly for our entire stay despite the Contacts seeming to make every effort to get it repaired. The shower head was leaking, downstairs bathroom plug-hole was stuck and there was a light by the pool which was also not working. General point - the villa should be checked prior to guests arriving to ensure that all the essentials are working as advertised and this is the responsibility of the owner. The Contacts did appear to try to rectify all of the issues that we brought up but there were just too many things that could have been sorted prior to our arrival if someone just checked the property.
