Charming Michigan City Cottage

Enjoy a getaway steps from Lake Michigan's Sheridan Beach in this cozy cottage that is great for quiet comfort, family fun, a romantic getaway, or a weekend with close friends. There are many activities nearby including Washington Park Marina/Park/Zoo, Sheridan Beach, Blue Chip Casino, Lighthouse Premium Place Outlets, and downtown Michigan City restaurants, all a short walk or bike ride away. The area also has several wineries and breweries. Additionally, for those wanting to enjoy concerts, sporting events or a day trip exploring Chicago, the South Shore Line now offers a 67-minute train to Chicago from 11th Street in Michigan City, which is approximately two miles from the cottage.

The beach is just a five minute walk from the front door. We provide a beach wagon, two beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels, a cooler, a few ice packs, and some sand toys for your enjoyment.

The serene back patio is surrounded by trees and is great for relaxing in the evenings. A grill is provided but please clean this after use.

The charming house features 1 queen bed in the primary on the main floor and two double beds in the upstairs loft. There is one full bathroom with a shower. A hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and lotion are provided for your convenience. The home has a television with a Roku for you to log in to watch your streaming services. We also have WiFi and a small selection of books to borrow for your next good read.

This property was perfect for our girls weekend! The house was one of the cleanest I've stayed in and was very cutely decorated. The beach was super close and there were places to eat within walking distance. The host was amazing! There was a minor issue with the code lock to let us in the house and she was able to get us into the house within minutes!! She was very prompt and accommodating. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Michigan City!

Lovely lake cottage

This is our third summer staying at this cottage and it is always clean and well maintained. The location is great being just a few blocks from the lake, close to the zoo and close to restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and very family friendly. This is a great spot for a family.
