Had a great stay

The only issue was the HVAC was not working at all.Everything else was great. The bed was very comfortable.

Birthday fun!

I booked this as a surprise for my mom’s 80th birthday and she absolutely loved it! She’s been bragging to her friends about how amazing it was ever since! We easily walked over to see some Broadway shows and eat at some great restaurants…everything about our stay was wonderful!

Great alternative to a midtown hotel

Very easy to get in and out of the building. Everything is secure. Conveniently located. Accommodations are exactly how they’re represented online. Overall, really easy and good experience!

Beautiful classy location

This location was ideal for my daughter and friends and I to celebrate her sweet 16! The penthouse we stayed in was very bougie and they loved it! The building seems to provide housing for people who need to stay for different lengths of time. This worked very well for us! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Place near Times Square

This is a wonderful property that suited all of our needs for a weekend trip in NYC. The place was furnished as advertised and overall was a pleasurable stay. The host and the concierge were extremely helpful and responsive. Would highly recommend for a stay with 4-5 of your good friends. Make sure you have the codes for both the outside door and the unit itself, especially if you plan on returning back to the property late at night!

NYC weekend 16th birthday trip

We had a great time for NYC. Ensuring proper location that safe and convenient is critical to me when selecting a property. This location was excellent. Close to Times Square, subway stations, Bryant Park, etc. We choose this versus a hotel due to the space of our party of 5 - 2 adults, 3 teenagers. The communication with the owner was quick, responding to our needs. The only thing we truly needed was wash clothes, since there wasn’t any and it was available upon our return one evening. The bedding isn’t ideal but we made it work. I couldn’t figure out if the sofa were pull outs or not so I did have to sleep on the sofa, which again wasn’t a huge issue for such a short trip. All in all, good space and location. Thanks.

Loved this penthouse

I absolutely loved this penthouse. The access door code for the penthouse was never sent to us, we had to ask the front desk for it. Overall the place looks just like the pics! One bed, two futons in living room. Luckily I only ended up having 5 guests instead of 6 because sleeping arrangements would have been harder.

Perfect Location

The best part about this VRBO was its location...two blocks or less from Times Square & important subway/bus stops while also less than a mile from Central Park, countless great restaurants, 5th Avenue shopping, etc. The host was also very easy to communicate with & got extra bedding to us within an hour of us asking, so we appreciated that! We had four adults, and the sleeping arrangements worked mainly because we're all pretty easy going & not high maintenance. However, the twin sofa beds were pretty rough...we kind of thought they'd be pull-out sofas, but they were more like futons. We're young & made it work, but I wouldn't recommend older adults stay here unless you're good with that kind of sleeping arrangement. Another issue we ran into is that there was only one functioning elevator with a max capacity of 3 people at a time. This room is all the way in the penthouse (13th floor), so it would sometime take 15 minutes for the elevator to make its multiple trips up and down for our entire group to get up/down the building. My friend & I climbed 13 flights of stairs a few times, but again, that would not be an option for older people wanting to stay here. Again, we just kind of chalked up the sleeping/elevator situations to the nature of a midtown NYC building and counted it part of our experience. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Trip to NYC with teenage daughters

I will start by saying the property is in a great location for a whirlwind trip to NYC. We didn't spend a lot of time at the apartment, and it was suitable. The listing says it sleeps 6 and I'm not sure how 6 people would fit. There was one bed (2 people) and two futon like couches which I suppose could fit 2 small kids each but with teenagers, it only fit one person per couch. There is another smaller couch which was where our 5th kid slept. It was fine for 2 nights and again the location was amazing. We also had a snag with the water being turned off. We were unable to flush toilets and shower in the morning which was a bit of an inconvenience especially since we weren't given any type of heads up. These things happen, we didn't let it ruin our trip but definitely would have preferred a shower. All in all, as I mentioned before, the location was really the selling point on this one.

NYC quick visit with a show

Overall we could not beat the location. However, we never got the door code until after checkin and after I went to the front desk. Main elevator was out so we took the back up elevator that only held 3 people at a time so it took a while to get upstairs. Once in the apt it was hot and the ice maker wasn’t working requiring to be cleaned. Kitchen had all required utensils but no tea towels to dry dishes, furniture was well worn with the couch legs falling off. TV cabinet in main bedroom was empty, it had a stereo system but not hooked up to anything. Found a couple of false eyelashes on the floor. Over all great location but we spent so much money for 1 night I wanted it to be much better.

This absolutely will NOT sleep 6

We booked this unit for 1 night. We are 6 ladies in our 50s, and we just wanted a place to crash the night before the marathon. The description claims that it sleeps 6. It should say that it sleeps 4! There's a king size bed that will obviously accommodate 2, and 2 pull out couches that the listing states will accommodate the other 4 guests. There is absolutely no way 2 people could share these pull out couch beds. Maybe if you have 4 young, tiny children weighing under 50 pounds, they could share, but adults ... absolutely not! We also had to request bedding for these pull out couches, and that took over an hour to be delivered. Why wasn't the bedding already there? The vanity light was not working in the bathroom, and we found a used crack/meth pipe buried in the 3rd little couch (this was not one of the pull out couches). Three of us got stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes, and a resident told me that they often break down, but thanks to the NY fire department, that was resolved. Our biggest issue though, was the pull out couches and lack of bedding. This place sleeps 4, and the bedding should be there waiting for the guests. I will say that the owner did communicate via the app in a timely manner, and his friend who had to delivery the bedding was very sweet.

Amazing Location- Good for family with kids

Can’t beat the location. The apartment is very charming but sleeping arrangements include a loveseat sofa and futon beds for family of 5. It worked for us having small humans but I don’t think it would have been very comfortable for 5 adults. I did have to go in search of extra bedding the first night for the futons as there wasn’t sheets/blankets for the sofas and to replace the sheets on the king bed in the master as these did not look fresh. We would stay here again as the place was charming and right where we wanted to be in Times Square

Great spot, fun lodging

Perfect location, fun to be in an historic hotel. Only downside was heat. It was a very cold day, windy, and the heaters couldnt quite keep up and the living area was chilly chilly BUT, the bedding was great, cozy beds, we'd return

Perfect location.

This penthouse is absolutely gorgeous and spacious. It’s location is convenient to Broadway, Times Square and Grand Central Station. It is not the best situation for 5 adults, tho. The bed sleeps 2 and there are 2 futons. The love seat would be appropriate for a child but not an adult.There were plenty of pillows for everyone but there were only 2 extra blankets - one of the extra blankets had a hole in it. There were 2 throws that my daughter used on the futon. There was only 1 washcloth in the entire place and no dishcloths to wash our dishes.The penthouse was very clean except for the ice machine which had mold in it.To be fair, I didn’t contact the owner to give him a chance to remedy the shortcomings as we were only there 2 nights. He was good at communicating when I had questions prior to our arrival.I would stay there again but not with 4 adults if my concerns were resolved.

Disappointed

We did not stay. We got another place due to the poor condition of the property. A huge disappointment when we arrived to find the property was dirty and smelled like rotten food.
