Overview

About the property

Mobile Home, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps up to 8)

Uncle Billy Bob's #2 is a little tacky on the outside but she's completely redone and new on the inside! Uncle Billy Bob's Deuce is the place to party in down town Crouch, located across the street and up the hill from Two Rivers Grill at the Longhorn and perfect for the 4th of July, the parade goes by below on the Middlefork Rd. and the Fireworks are just across the river in the park!

Every weekend has a lot to offer and it's all within walking distance in the Village of Crouch, located in the Greater Garden Valley area! Affordable pricing starts at $79.95 non holiday week day nights, Friday and Saturday nights are $89.95, taxes not included. Weekly and Monthy rates are available. Sorry this is not a long term rental, except in the winter months we maybe be able to accomodate longer than a one month stay. Please call us to see what we can do for you.

People ask about washers and dryers, yep, there are several to choose from at the local laundro-matt, just about a MINUTE away, on foot. Open 8am-9pm daily in downtown Crouch.

Dishwasher, yes sirree Bob, we got us one of them fancy things in Uncle Billy Bob's 2!

Says here in the di-rec-tions, I'm sposed to tell you about the bedroom/bathroom set ups, well, there are two bedrooms, they got beds, nothing but the finest linens I could buy from the local thrift shops, but they are clean! Bathroom, yep, got 2 of them too, they's indoors too and that is mighty nice in the winter time!

.

Have you got extra friends you'd like to bring along but the trailer only accomodates 8...no problem, for just a few dollars more they can bring their RV, we have water and power hook ups for one RV so they can be right there with you!!! Maximum occupancy, including visitors is 8 people, unless they have been registered and paid for and approved by the management.

Snowmobilers or Horse owners, plenty of room for your trailers and plenty of extra parking space for you and your friends!

One other think folks, if you don't have a sense of humor, you probably ought not rent Uncle Billy Bob's, cuz like Paw Paw always says, 'you can only polish a turd so much!' Have Fun!

About Diane Caughlin

I've been blessed to live and work in such a beautiful and friendly town. I first came to Garden Valley in 1980 as the first woman firefighter on the Garden Valley Helitack Crew, the following year I ventured to California to work on the Arrowhead Hotshot Crew where I met my husband Joe. In 1994, after Joe got out of the Army, we returned to Garden Valley with our 2 young sons. Both of our sons grew up here and graduated from Garden Valley High School and are also Wildland Fire Fighters. I own and operate Garden Valley Properties, and Uncle Billy Bob's Vacation Rentals and I am currently serving as the Directory of Marketing of the Garden Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Secretary for the Parks and Recs District. Joe is currently serving our country once again in Afghanistan.

Diane Caughlin purchased this mobile home in 2001

Why Diane Caughlin chose Idaho

It's a great place for people to have fun, relax and participate in all the recreational opportunities, and we're only 1 hour from Boise.

What makes this mobile home unique

Crouch is a very small community with in Garden Valley, you feel relaxed just walking around our scenic little village. Across the street and river (from Uncle Billy Bob's 2) is the community park with nice beach access to the Middlefork of the Payette River. If you're an early riser, you can walk across the Middlefork Rd. and grab a latte or goodies from Wild Bill's Coffee Shop & Bistro, or the Coffee Lodge located in the old Crouch Merc or you can stroll down to the Garden Valley Market. On Saturday's in the summer, we have an open air market between the radio station and the Market parking lot from 9-1. It's a good chance to check out the fresh produce and homemade goodies or visit one of the many shops that line Market St.

On the 4th of July, you'll have ring side seating for all the activities including fireworks and parade. If you've ever been to Crouch for the 4th of July, you know it's quite memorable!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Loved the style. We like to watch TV at night to wind down. 3 different remotes and never could get any channels or DVD player to work

Owner's Response: Hey Curtis, I went down and checked the TV situation, I now have taken the instructions for operation out of the white book that has the instructions for everything at the unit and placed it next to the TV. When I went through the steps as it tells you to, it worked just fine. So it will be ready for your next stay! Thanks again for letting me know.

Convenient to activities

  • 3 of 5

Our family spent the week in Cascade participating in the Starlight Mountain Theatre youth camp. Uncle Billy Bob's was within walking distance to the camp, market and coffee shop/restaurant which was very nice since we didn't always have an accessible vehicle.

There was plenty of parking and even room to set up a shade canopy for those hot days and evenings we needed to be outdoors.

There were plenty of cooking utensils and pans to keep our family well fed and the bedding and linens were definitely adequate for us to all be comfortable.

We were thankful for the filtered water container as the iron smell of the water was a drawback. We just had to remember to keep the container filled so we had plenty of fluids to keep us hydrated.

The airconditioner was a definitely plus. It had to work overtime due to the hot days, but it managed to keep things at a decent temperature in the living area.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you seemed to enjoy your stay in Crouch (not Cascade), but I'm a little confused why you only gave us 3 stars? I've never gotten that low of rating in the 6 years I've been in business?? We are not fancy, and we don't claim to be anything we're not, but the units are clean and comfy and we keep our prices low so that families can enjoy the Mts without spending a fortune. I looked back at my notes and saw that housekeeping was unhappy that you didn't leave the place as clean as when you arrived, (which is one of the only requests we make), and it took them an extra 40 minutes to clean after you. When I contacted you, we talked about it and I said not to worry about it, so is the rating a reflection of that?

Excellant

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our overnight stay. It was very relaxing for us to be away from home for a night. I loved the trailer, it was cute and clean.

My husband was surprised it was so roomy. The owner Diane was great with the last minute change. Thank you. We will be back. Thank you.

Great location, very clean, and has everything you need

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to stay right in the heart of Crouch! Walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops. Great ambiance and redneck decorating throughout the property. Only a couple drawbacks but they wouldn't keep me from coming back. The tv and DVD player were not in great condition, tv hummed and DVD skipped on every DVD we brought. The hot water had a strong sulfer smell. That may be normal for the area, I'm not sure. We had a great time staying there and will definitely be back!

Owner's Response: Hey Stephanie, thanks for letting me know about the TV, I can't fix any problems, if I don't know about them! Also, there's nothing we can do about the sulphur smell, it's because of all the minerals in the area and the geothermal water. We all just have to live with it, some, have it worse than others. Sorry! UBB
