We had a great stay in Seaside Heights! The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, and in the perfect location—just 1.5 blocks from the boardwalk. It was also super helpful to have all the beach gear available in the garage. That said, there were a few things that took away from the relaxation. Every morning, a lady—who seemed to be a permanent resident—would have loud conversations across the balcony with another neighbor. These conversations went on for over an hour and made it hard to enjoy a peaceful coffee outside. We had to close the porch doors most mornings. There were also some odd noises in the home—the refrigerator had a constant whistling sound throughout the day, and every time you flushed the toilets, it sounded like a tornado was about to hit.Lastly, there was confusion with check-out. The VRBO listing and even my confirmation email both said check-out was at 1:30 PM. But on the morning of our departure, the host texted saying we had to be out by 11 AM. When I brought up the 1:30 PM time listed on VRBO, he said another guest had also mentioned that and he would look into it. I asked if we could check out at 12 noon since we now had to rush, and he agreed—but we ended up leaving by 11:30 just to be safe.Overall, it's a lovely house in a great spot, but there are definitely some things to be aware of.
