Updated 2 bedroom, 1 bath farmhouse nestled in large oaks surrounded by open pastures and timbered areas. Beautiful meandering creek runs through property at the bottom of the pastures. Ample room to hike and explore. Fire pit with Adirondack chairs provides a comfy place to relax, roast marshmallows, and enjoy the view. 15 min drive to Hanging Rock State Park.

Well appointed kitchen, plenty of outdoor and indoor games for the whole family to enjoy. Wonderful spot for a quiet getaway.

Communication with the host was great, House and location were in great shape the views are beautiful. We were is town because our son was getting married in Walnut Cove but still had some time to do some exploring and got to enjoy the huge fire pit.

This place was a dream! It was very clean, had towels set out for us, shampoo/conditioner, and anything we’d need for a toddler including eating utensils and plates. The view was absolutely stunning. Very peaceful and quiet, but not far from the city. We will definitely be staying here again

The is property was nicer in person than the online pictures. Very clean and well equipt. In one word it was ADORABLE. Beautiful view of Hanging Rock. We were in town visiting our daughter and grandchildren that live close by. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future bookings.

This was the perfect place for a quick weekend trip to Hanging Rock. Easy, clean, and stunning! We cannot wait to come back and Jenny was so helpful and accommodating!

It’s rare for me to say the house was even better than the photos. It was spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay was provided for us. So many thoughtful touches like chargers on each side of the bed, coffee with sugar and creamer to name a few. I can’t recommend this little gem enough. And the view was stunning.

My husband and I booked this trip specifically for rest and relaxation and in no way were we disappointed. The host has furnished everything needed to have a wonderful stay, no stone was left unturned including the breathtaking view! Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Quick family get away

The house was wonderful, very clean and the owner was so friendly and quick to respond to any messages. The location of the house is absolutely beautiful and it was exactly as advertised. I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

Perfect escape

This home was gorgeous and clean. It was well-stocked with cooking essentials and had lots of thoughtful touches like dry firewood for the gorgeous fire pit, propane for the grill, games, books, coffee, etc.The beds were extremely comfortable and the towels were luxurious.The biggest perk for us, besides a stunning view of Cook’s Wall, was being 11 minutes from world-class climbing and hiking at Moore’s Wall. Jenny was always very responsive!Highly recommend this as a home base for exploring beautiful country.

Easter Weekend

I recently traveled with my spouse, our son, and our pup to the area. I'm originally from Winston-Salem but my remaining family actually live 5 min down tbe road from this listing. It was convenient for us to be able to travel back and forth to visit and the few is amazing! We absolutely loved our stay and ease of check in. The home was just right for us and we were able to habe my aunt and uncle over to eat and visit without being crowded. Would love to stay here in the future when we visit

Perfect Location for Hiking and Relaxation!

This was the perfect place for our needs. We were close to hiking and had plenty of space to roam the property with a cup of coffee or relax on the porch.We enjoyed meals there sitting outside enjoying the views.I appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked with quality cookware…I had everything I needed. The coffee pot was a nice touch in that you could make a full pot or a single cup. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location.We will definitely be back soon.

Definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed here for the annual Pilot Mountain to Hanging Rock run and it was absolutely wonderful. The host was extremely nice in communication, the house was perfectly clean, and the outside fire pit was awesome! Not a single thing could have been better. The house was stocked with all types of indoor/outdoor games, had brand new appliances, and the outside tree swing was a hit. Highly recommend staying here for a getaway. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Our family needed a space to relax and spend time together before our kids went to camp for summer. This property was perfect location with the view, easy access to grocery store, and all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. The host has thought of everything! There were blankets, outlets, and lots of comforts of home. We really appreciated the view the most. We sat outside the first night and watched the sunset together. Highly recommend this property. Thank you for helping make our summer better!

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house is sitting on a hill overlooking a beautiful mountain. The view is spectacular! The location is great, too. It's really peaceful, yet close enough to nearby towns and attractions. The house is easy to get to, the driveway is wide and not steep which was important for us coming on a smaller hybrid car.The house was spotless and really beautiful on the inside. It had everything we needed, including a high chair and safe plasticware for our toddlers. The kitchen is well stocked, the appliances are new. There are games and toys for kids, as well as a swing in the backyard which my kids really loved!We had the best time staying in this charming farmhouse! Hands down, highly recommend!

Dream Home/Land

My husband and I have stayed some very nice homes before that were million dollar homes but this has been by far our favorite stay ever. This absolutely the most beautiful piece of property and the home is very relaxing and very clean. First morning saw a fox next day about 8 deer in the yard and of course we have walked this property several times and have seen bear tracks. The host is very punctual and friendly. We will definitely be back before the summer is over. I hope and pray this land stays touched by housing developments it’s too beautiful.

Lovely immaculate farmhouse close to hiking

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. Very clean w brand new appliances, w&d, smart TVs, modern bath and well stocked kitchen. The master bed was sooooo comfortable. Jennifer was available and answered questions and was helpful. The outside fire pit w Mountain View was great and we enjoyed several fires as well as stargazing w our telescope in the field at night. The location is within 20 min of State Parks, hiking, fishing, and grocery store so was really convenient. Hiking trails at Hanging Rock SP were amazing. We will definitely be back to stay at this hidden gem,

Outdoor living

Beautiful farmhouse decorated so cute. When we stripped the bed in master bedroom we discovered mattress cover was soiled. I guess it was over looked by cleaning service. That is only complaint. Would definitely recommend and return again in the future.
