🌲Scotty Point- Cabin on the Bluff 🌊

Scotty Point Cabin has a Craftsman architectural style which reflects the love of simplicity and exhibiting attention to detail which includes old growth redwood trim throughout. It was built with consideration for amenities that allow for a comfortable vacation. The cozy feeling inside the cabin is perfect for a small family gathering. Set in the Pacific Northwest, 3 miles north of the historic town of Trinidad, California, Scotty Cabin is the perfect place to spend a few days or a couple of weeks exploring. Newly added: outdoor shower and two person Scotty Point cabana recreation area for your enjoyment!

In the mornings enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea as you walk out the door onto the sundeck overlooking the expansive private meadow before you finish breakfast and head off to explore for the day. And equally enjoyable when you return for a picturesque sunset dinner . The cabin is set up for three guests with a comfortable queen bed in the primary bedroom and an ultra thick twin size bed in the second bedroom. The full kitchen is well stocked with the majority of the cooking supplies and utensils you'll need to make quick meals on the go for your daily picnics or put together a leisurely dinner on the gas stove and oven. The full bathroom with shower and tub is designed to be compact but comfortable and well equipped. The front loading washer and dryer are well taken care of and located in the bathroom. All the BBQ utensils you'll need to enjoy the Gas Weber Grill are also provided. Hot and Cold sink near the BBQ for your convenience.

During your visit, please be sure and walk across the scenic meadow to take in the view of Scotty Point and the Pacific Ocean from the viewing terrace - a lovely place to have happy hour while watching the sunset in to the ocean. There is a deck box on the entry deck that has a few beach/lawn chairs and some toys for the kids for those beach trips or just to kick a ball about the meadow.

Cozy cottage, great open space, a place to view the sunset but the landscape took the cake. There is a hot tub that was perfect for the post hike relaxation. Couldn't have planned a better location! If this place is available, book it!

The bones of the place were very nice. It's set-up to be cozy and comfortable. However, running communications through a middleman management company is never fun. Answers to questions are not directly addressed. The views from the outer lounge area are not really 'ocean view picture ready'. Telephone poles and lines and limited views through a clearing in the tree's. The hot tub worked great and was a nice addition.

Our admin team put you directly in touch with our local managers when you reached out to ask if the hot tub would be functional - that response happened within 1 hour far ahead of your arrival. Your comments about the outdoor lounge having obstructed views of the ocean from the powerlines can be validated in the listing's gallery photos. In addition - this supplementary viewing terrace is about 100 yards from the main home. No power lines can be seen from the main home in this same way and we're very glad that the exquisite views of the private redwood meadow from the main home BBQ and hot tub deck were satisfactory to you. This was a wonderful spot in Trinidad. Easily within driving distance of many excellent redwoods hikes and groves, the reason for our stay. It's minutes from the center with most restaurants and the grocery store. The living room furniture isn't the most comfy, but the hot tub makes up for it! Good fit for two of us (friends). Very private and had fun deer visitors.

Great place to stay! We loved it! Close to everything and very private. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower and hot tub. Great communication with the property managers. Hands down the best vacation rental I’ve stayed in. Everything from the decor to the location is perfect! Close to town, but the property is super private with beautiful landscaping and plenty of parking. Everything inside is well thought out and the decor is lovely. The outdoor shower and hot tub are wonderful! We will definitely be back!

This property worked well for myself and friends as we had a great line of communication - there were 3 adults. Idealy this property would be great for a family - 2 adults and at the most two kids. Loved the ambiance and the character this property offered and the grounds are awesome.
