Thanks William! We appreciate you taking the time to share with us! We would appreciate a private message so we can find out how we could have made your stay 5 stars - thanks!
Hey Thanks for the review! Actually we are exactly 7 miles from Interstate 77 and less than 3 miles from State Route 541 and 658! We understand that it seems far from the main road since you have to drive slower on the gravel roads. We are close enough to town and main roads that DoorDash actually delivers out here - so you don’t even have to leave once you arrive. Almost all our guests love the peace and quiet that being off the beaten path offers - we are sorry you didn’t like that!
It was an enjoyable stay. The cabins were clean. We met the host, he was very nice.

The cabin was absolutely cozy! The owners were very friendly and Duane actually met me at a local gas station to get me there! The views are spectacular, there’s no light pollution. It’s well maintained and offers a truly peaceful retreat! I would highly recommend this place! And I really appreciated that they allowed my cat to come with me!! I will definitely come back!!!
I had a problem figuring out the directions but I got a hold of Duane and he got me right there! The cabin was immaculate and cozy, once we got the heater up to a comfortable temperature. I would definitely stay again!!

Thank you! Come back anytime - we appreciate your thoughtful review!
We were surprised that there were 5 other cabins in a little cluster, didn't look like that on the map and no mention that the cabins were so close together. Felt very closed in in the cabins, no views. Also the air freshener used was so strong that it absorbed into our coats and blankets and everything we brought. We did enjoy the short walks on the property though before all the other customers arrived.
I was in Ohio for a family reunion. The puppy could not stay at the lodge at Salt Fork, so I decided to stay at the cabin. I am easily overwhelmed by people and family is not excluded! Retreating to the cabin allowed me the serenity I needed. My only dislike were the unpaved roads. My car sits very low to the ground and the gravel did a number under my car.
The private cabins were super cozy and warm. We loved chilling on the porch couch, enjoying the amazing views, or watching the sunrise. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Fall is especially beautiful with all the leaves turning.
Pro Tip: Head out to the field next to the lodge on a clear night. With so little light pollution, the view of the sky is amazing.
The cabins have a heating/cooling/dehumidifying unit that you control so it stays at the perfect temperature for you. You can easily see the TV from the bed, the couch, or most of the dining table, so you have many options if you want to relax and watch something.
The location is close to Cambridge and Salt Fork, so there are plenty of things to do within 15-20 minutes. The owners are on the property, so anything you might need can be handled at a moment's notice; they're still improving the property as well, so it's only going to get better.
If you're not a fan of camping, this place isn't for you - there are gravel roads to get there where you need to watch for deer crossing, there will be bugs who want to try to join you in your cabin, and you'll definitely see critters - if that sounds like your idea of heaven, then I couldn't recommend this more.

Thank you so much! A very thoughtful and precise review that beautifully describes our little slice of heaven! We would love to have you back anytime you get back this way!
Born and raised in Ohio - we are Buckeyes for life! We love to create beautiful spaces for people to enjoy and relax. We have raised 6 children and currently have 8 grandchildren so we are used to playing host and hostess. We love to travel and enjoy spaces that others have lovingly created and it gives us ideas for things we can do! We hope you enjoy your stay with us!
Why they chose this property
The tranquility and quiet is perfection. And then on a clear night - the star lit sky is really a must see. We knew when we seen this property for the first time that we had to buy this special piece of heaven!
What makes this property unique
We don't have alot of outdoor "extras". We are low maintenance and want our guests to just relish in the quiet enjoyment of nature and the surroundings. We have 72 acres with some trails and you can walk quietly through the woods and see wildlife abundantly. A campfire at night, starry skies and a nice place to rest - that's what we have to offer.
