About Leslie Allen
This is the family home where Ken grew up. My family and I have lovingly restored the property and upgraded the homes. Throughout the years the things that have remained constant are the river and the beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful but not as peaceful as we anticipated
We really enjoyed staying at Rancho Pequeno. The area is beautiful and my family had a lot of fun playing in the river, having camp fires and playing outside.
My only real complaint is that it seems remote and peaceful but it's busier than it appears to be. It may have been my mistake to think the house was secluded but it's really not. The owners brother lives just past the house and there is a guest house that they also rent out right behind the house. Neither of those is a huge deal but what was annoying is that our family paid over $500 per night to stay at the home and they let their friends drop by the property throughout our stay. A group of men that were staying for free were at the guest house for part of the visit (so they were sharing our outdoor spaces) and the owners told another family they could drop by and go tubing right at the house so they showed up as well. We were there to see the eclipse and right during the viewing time these people dropping by asking if they could hang out and tube and interrupting what we were doing. It's inconsiderate to charge so much for someone to stay at your home then let people come crash for free and share the space people are paying a lot to use so because of that we won't be going back.
Beautiful property right on the river. Perfect spot for a quiet getaway!
Very clean and comfortable! Huge open living room and dining table with amazing views of the river! We enjoyed a family reunion here In August and spent lots of time wading and tubing down the river, hanging out by the firepit, playing yard games and enjoying the spectacular views. Completely secluded and private and perfect for a big family gathering or a quiet weekend escape!
This is a special place for a family to spend some time together. We were there mid-June so the river was too swift and deep to swim , wade or fish. I imagine when the river is lower, slower it would be great fun to inner tube and fish. This house is well equipped and clean.
Beautiful and peaceful
My family has stayed at El Rancho Pequeno twice. It has a beautifully appointed lodge and guest accomodations. There is a large kitchen and dining area that opens to the living area and patio. This is a great set up for family events and weddings. The patio and fire pit are great and include a bar b q grill. The view of the river from the front windows and patio is stunning. I highly recommend this house for a peaceful retreat from the busy life.
Wyomings Perfect Place...
I would highly recommend spending time at El Ranch Peqeuno. Slow down and take it all in. Blue Skys overhead and the Big Laramie River flowing by, whether over coffee at the break of day or enjoying a cold one after a solid day of fishing. This place is an escape from the distractions of day to day life. Trails to explore and more stars in the evening sky then you can comprehend.
The main house has plenty of room, a modern kitchen and a great fireplace. The view of the river is constant and always calling you back in.
Ken and Leslie are kind and very knowledgeable with this beautiful part of Wyoming.
They introduced us to a local fishing guide for our time spent on the river and to the folks who run the near by observatory.
I am grateful for every visit here, see you again in the Spring...
Stunning part of Wyoming
We spent a long Labor Day weekend here and enjoyed every minute. Our 14 year old grandson had a great time fishing on the Big Laramie with a guide recommended by Ken and Leslie. We hiked, explored the logging dirt roads, and fell in love with the vast blue sky of Wyoming. We'll be back.
