No words can properly describe our experiences! I immediately communicated with Lisa, "Your house is gorgeous, but your hired help is outstanding! They truly worked very hard to meet and exceed our needs and expectations. We love them! Please make sure that you keep them around. We hope to be back sometime soon." Always a great getaway

There were some issues with road closures that caused some bumps in our arrival, but Lisa did everything she could to accommodate us and get us to the house. Other than that, we had a great time!

Sweet Serenity

Casa del Lago is a stunning home nestled in the small town of San Lucas. The architectural splendor and the views of the lake are absolutely breathtaking and set the backdrop for an incredible experience whether you choose to stay at the house or explore the lake and its surrounding towns. The house staff is welcoming and accommodating and Lisa is a consummate and attentive host. We missed the welcoming house rules packet when we arrived and were bummed to have done so as it is filled with useful information and activities. Make sure to look for it and read through it upon arrival as it gives you a full scope of all there is to do around Lake Atitlan, including phone numbers for boat transportation. If coming from the city, be sure to purchase what you want to have prepared by the two, sweet, in house chefs before leaving the city as there are no major markets in the area. Overall this is a hidden gem that we hope to be able to visit again. Thank you Lisa and team for opening your home and making our stay so unforgettable.

Spectacular

Although the road to get there was not as easy as I thought. The house, the ladies, and gentlemen who work there were so worth it. I was not able to enjoy the lake as I much as I wanted because I became sick along with my aunt. The essence of the house is the people who care for this beautiful home. I can not express my graditude to Isaac, Lesly, and the other lady whose name escapes my head. I Loved how knowledgeable, friendly and I warm these beautiful people were to me and my family. They made me feel at home. I would love to stay there again for the peace and beauty this place has to offer but most importantly to share a meal with the staff. Thank you so much for this ❤️ beautiful experience. Hope to be back some day.

Beyond Our Expectations!

We had a wonderful stay. Betty and Aldris were terrific! We were a large group. Plenty of room to sleep. So many fun activities on the property - ping pong, pool table, hot tubs. A memorable trip.

Perfect Lake Getaway

The staff were very kind and helpful our entire stay. We decided to eat at the discretion of our wonderful staff and the taste and authenticity of each meal permeated through the entire beautiful home each time we sat and enjoyed our plate in front of magnificent views of the lake. This home is a perfect getaway and suitable for absolutely any occasion. Our stay far exceeded our expectations and we will return soon.

Gorgeous Lake House

Absolutely stunning house by beautiful Lake Atitlan. Unique art and elegant architecture. Spacious rooms with capacity for many. Pool table, table tennis, and two hot tubs were an impressive addition. The onsite help with meal preparations is great for those who want to take a break from cooking. Had a magnificent time and definitely will recommend to others.

Amazing Property on the Lake

We recently took a family vacation to Casa de Lago and it was truly amazing. This house will help you relax and enjoy quality time with family/friends in a beautiful environment. The house itself is stunning. It provides a unique 2-level floorplan with plenty of rooms and living space to accommodate a large family. It also has great interior design to make you feel like you're living in part of the Guatemalan rainforest. The exterior decks provide spectacular views of Lake Atitlan and the surrounding landscape. The house has extremely well groomed exterior areas, including a playground area for kids to enjoy. We spent a lot of time outdoors. One of the best parts of this house is the accompanying lake dock. It's a short walk from the house with easy access and privacy. We spent time swimming in the lake, kayaking, and enjoying the lake views from the jacuzzi. The only precaution to consider with this house is actually getting there. This was our first time to Guatemala and we quickly realized why hiring a private driver makes more sense than renting a car. The roads are not well developed around the house or in the general areas around Lake Atitlan. So it is definitely wise to hire transportation and use boat taxis when getting around the lake. All in all, we couldn't recommend this house more. It was the perfect place for our family vacation which will be something we cherish and remember for years to come. A HUGE thanks to Lisa and her hospitable staff for such a pleasant and warm stay!! :)

Beautiful Home

The house is very well designed and was perfect for our large family for the week. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of space to spread out but also get together for family meals. The panoramic views from the kitchen dining living room are gorgeous. It is also nice to get the morning sun due to position of the house on the lake. It is very private though there are neighbors not too far, however, we never saw them. Wired internet would be a huge plus but my cellphone data got a decent connection most of the time. Jacuzzis were a great asset. If you are looking for a quiet private and expansive retreat this is the place for you.

Wonderful weekend at this beautiful property!

Our group spent 3 nights at Casa del Lago and had an absolutely spectacular time. The property itself is exceedingly comfortable, spacious, well-appointed, and otherwise run like a first-rate hotel. The house was spotless when we arrived, and the home's staff took the best care of us during our weekend. Lisa had arranged for us to have most of our meals prepared for us, which turned out to be a great way for us to get the most out of our days, eat delicious meals, and also enjoy the company of the staff. The house has everything a group could possible want or need to be entertained: endless games, ping-pong, hot tubs, kayaks, pool, nooks to read, and very comfortable rooms, beds, and bathrooms. Last but not least, Lisa is a wonderful host who was very responsive on email and made sure everything was well-coordinated before and during our stay. We will absolutely be back -- this place is a true gem!

We had a great time. The property was beautiful and very well cared for. Lakefront is perfect. Two families stayed and we had plenty of room. The staff were very nice and friendly and professional. It’s like a 5 star resort. Will definitely be back. Truly a place to get away from it all.

It is my pleasure to introduce myself and my family as your host in your experience at our home in Lake Atitlán, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

We are a typical family who loves to share wonderful moments. We have a pretty busy schedule with work, school and family activities so when we get a chance, we enjoy rest and relaxation. We love to travel to different places and meet people from other parts of the world. We enjoy activities both outdoors and indoors. Just to name a few: boating, swimming, skiing, hiking, playing table and board games, watching a good movie, curling up with a good book or just sipping a glass of wine while having a meaningful conversation.

We particularly enjoy preparing and eating delicious food, reason why we have a fully-equipped kitchen which is at the center of our home.

In addition, I want to mention that we are in the Hotel/Restaurant business which makes us pay close attention to detail with emphasis on excellent service.

We have undertaken this project of making your stay a unique adventure and we can help in what is within our reach so that you enjoy not only what our home has to offer but also the wonders that this little bit of Central America offers.
