About Debbie Mooney
Born and bred in Oregon, I have traveled the world and brought back its flavors to season the atmosphere of the gorgeous dream home that I have spent 2 years designing and building. I currently live and play in my homes in Bend and in Bali for part of each year. As I continue my international travels, I hope that you will enjoy the opportunity to experience all that is my home, Daughter Water Estate.
Debbie Mooney purchased this Estate in 2011
Why Debbie Mooney chose River West
Bend, located in Central Oregon, hosts multiple diverse summer and winter outdoor amenities and activities are of which are easily accessible by walking, biking or driving from our close in-town riverfront setting. I fell in love with Bend in 1972 and in 2001 realized my dream of retiring here.

House is fantastic. Location is perfect walking distance to downtown. Can’t be beat.
A truely magical stay
We have stayed all over the world in wonderful places. This home is at the top of our list. From the moment we walked through the door and met Debbie the magic began. EVERYTHING about the home and location were perfect. WE will be back.
Perfect In Every Way
The house is stunning both inside and out. The kitchen is well appointed with just about everything that you could possibly ever need and the furniture is functional - and comfortable. The outside decks that overlook the Deschutes River offer a multitude of seating options which allow for you and your guests to spread out if needed. The house along with the beautiful landscaping are immaculately maintained. The property manager Debbie Mooney is extremely professional and provided us with the upmost care before, during and after our stay. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and look forward to when we can return.
Unique property - Perfect spot for family reunion
The house is amazing and so is Debbie, the property manager! We couldn't have asked for more. Debbie's communication is clear and quick. It seemed like every time we asked for something we needed (before and during our stay), it miraculously appeared. An extra bed even appeared in the yoga room to accommodate our large family!
The house is right on the Deschutes River. You can spend your time on any one of the multiple deck spaces (upper, lower or middle!) watching the tubers, kayakers and SUPers go by. The owner also provides a range of these water toys for you enjoy, with easy access to the water via the dock.
Even though the water views make it feel more isolated, the house is very well-located within the city. It's a 3-5min drive to the Old Mill, Downtown, and a range of restaurants along Galveston and Newport Avenue - a 10-20min walk will get you to each of these places as well.
The large, well-equipped kitchen means that you could cook every night, but excellent take-out so nearby meant that we rarely ever didi!
There are multiple outdoor and indoor spaces for people to gather (or hide!), so it is perfect for everyone to reconnect and find a little bit of space.
We would come back in a flash!
Even better in person
Wow! This house was amazing! I booked this house for me and my buddies to have a guy's week and it was amazing! The layout is amazing and so much space for the large group to still have their own individual spots if they want to take a break from the group. The riverfront (which is where we spent 70% of our time) is just beautiful with all the toys (kayaks, SUP's and tubes) to enjoy some time on the river.
Debbie the property manager was also very friendly and helpful which just added to the value and experience of staying at this home (Thanks Debbie!).
Third stay and still wonderful
This was the third summer stay in a row for our extended family at this amazing property -- and it was as wonderful as ever. Nothing beats the river views and access here -- there's a different place to sit and enjoy the scene at every time of day. The younger members of the family enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding, and the oldsters loved just sitting in the shade and spectating. The house is well maintained, fully stocked with every necessity, and comfortable in all respects. Wifi and A/C worked perfectly. Debbie, the property manager, is accessible and prompt in responding to any question or request. We'll be back!
In Bend, you don't even have to leave the city limits to enjoy nature. Whatever you like to do: ski, hike, bicycle, kayak, rock-climb, white-water rafting, you name it, and you can find it close by. Renowned Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort and adjacent recreation areas are 20-30 minutes away, providing powdered slopes for skiers and snowboarders. The mighty Deschutes River draws rafters, while mountain lakes provide serene surroundings for kayaking and canoeing. Hikers escape to miles of backcountry trails in the area. There are more than 20 golf courses in the immediate area and Bend boasts having as many golf holes as there are days in the year. Bend is also home to numerous weekend festivities throughout the year with multiple music venues, 37 parks, 3 theater groups year round, 7 craft breweries, and a thriving art community with 10 art galleries.
