Moose River Cozy Cabin
A cute & cozy little cabin, but definitely accommodating only 1-2 people. Clean and neat, decorated in the Lodgey look, but kitchen, bedroom (2 twin beds at opposite ends of this very narrow room), and bathroom were about as tight as in our former camping trailer. Kitchen seemed well equipped, but based on its compact size, we opted to eat out locally instead of cooking our 3 days & nights there. Cannot imagine using the toilet if one was too tall - sitting put one's knees into the shower. However, we had an issue with the shower head, and it was dealt with quickly and with concern on the part of Claire. Husband liked we could put in our canoe from the site, although were not anticipating such a hill to traverse to get it down and back up to the car. Not great access for anyone experiencing any knee issues, which now looking back at the pictures we should have anticipated. All in all though, a nice quiet getaway from the hubbub of Old Forge on a Fall weekend...and with a beautiful view of the river!
We are happy you enjoyed your stay at Sci Sci Cabin. Hope you can come again. Claire & Tom
a charming cottage on Moose river
This in town cottage is the best of both worlds, a block off Main St. Old Forge but on a quiet street with a screen porch right over the Moose River. It is a snug fit but just so well done for two people. The bathroom is a challenge. Very tight quarters. This is the reason for a four rating. The owners are easy to contact and make sure things are taken care of.
Great neat and tidy cabin. Loved being on the river, canoe and kayak rentals are only a short walk away. Screened in porch was great to sit on at night. Place is right in town and close to everything.

If you love kayaking at your leisure on a beautiful nature filled river then the Sci cabin is nirvana. The cottage is perfect for comfortable quiet enjoyment of all the activities in and around Old Forge. The best of all worlds where you park your car and not have to use it for the duration of your stay. Walking distance to the village, the lakes and discovery. My five days of vacation was exactly what I had hoped to experience without having to rough it. Great memories!

A pleasant reminise of childhood
The fresh air, the greenery, the sound of nature, was a pleasant reminder of what life was like back in my childhood. This little cabin has everything you need for your weekend getaway. You will feel recharged and reconected with nature.
Thank you for your review. We are happy you enjoyed yourself. Claire & Tom
Great place to relax!
It's a very peaceful setting. The cottage was great and hard to believe you are only a couple blocks from the main Street. The shower head was a bit challenging but overall would definitely go back
Glad you enjoyed your stay. We will check out the shower head when we go . Claire & Tom Sci
