We had an amazing trip. We have stayed at the Mariner multiple times but never in this unit. The layout felt so much more spacious and had plenty of room to play games and hangout on the balcony. Although we brought our own beach gear, the laundry room offered a multitude of chairs and a canopy for guest.

My family and I loved the condo itself. It was clean and quiet. But we would not book again with Southern Coast Rentals. The washer and dryer were not working properly from the first night we checked in. The washer was full of water from Monday night until we left early Friday morning. We contacted Southern coast Rentals 6 different times and they didn’t send anyone out until Thursday afternoon. Three days without a working washer and dryer. How is my family of four supposed to do laundry while at the beach when the washer is completely full of water? We are curious how the housekeeper was able to launder the sheets or towels before we arrived. When we asked if we could use just the washer and dryer in another condo that they manage and that was empty at the time, the answer was no. They claim on their website that customer satisfaction is their #1 priority, but they didn’t even offer us extra towels or any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. We ended up checking out 2 days early with Hurricane Isaias on the way, and we weren’t offered any kind of refund b/c evacuation was voluntary and not mandatory. Maybe that is a customary practice for rental properties, we were just disappointed with the experience. We will not be renting through Southern Coast Rentals in the future.

Thank you for acknowledging that the condo itself was clean and quiet. We are sorry the washer malfunctioned during your stay and understand the inconvenience this caused. Once we were notified of the issue, our team contacted multiple appliance technicians to secure the earliest available service appointment. Unfortunately, appliance repairs are subject to contractor availability, and we were unable to obtain an earlier appointment. Regarding your request to use another condominium’s washer and dryer, our properties are individually owned, and we cannot authorize guests to access or use another owner’s property or personal equipment without permission. Our linens and towels are laundered off-site at our commercial laundry facility, rather than in the individual units, so the housekeeping process is not dependent on the in-unit washer and dryer. As for your early departure due to Hurricane Isaias, our hurricane policy is clearly outlined in the rental agreement provided to guests. Refunds are issued in the event of a mandatory evacuation, which was not in effect during your stay. We encourage guests to purchase travel insurance through the booking platform to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including voluntary departures and trip interruptions. We regret that these circumstances affected your experience. However, our team acted to arrange repairs as quickly as contractor availability allowed, and our policies regarding property access and hurricane-related refunds are established to ensure consistent and fair treatment of all guests. We appreciate your feedback and wish you safe travels.

Overall great stay!

Family had a great time! The location was great, with much less crowding at the beach than other areas surrounding it. Unit was clean and very comfortable to hangout at when not at the beach! Our only negative is that the beds are listed as queen but seemed smaller than that.Overall would recommended.
