Delightful 3 double bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment located centrally in a beautiful car-free mountain village of Mürren (1650 m)

Perched on a high, sunny terrace facing the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the village is the highest altitude ski resort in the Bernese Oberland. It nestles at the foot of the Schilthorn with its revolving Piz Gloria Restaurant, made world-famous by a James Bond film.

In summer, Mürren is the perfect place from which to start a host of hikes, from simple to strenuous.

You can reach Mürren from Lauterbrunnen or from Stechelberg by cable car.

Accommodation consists of 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room en suite and and additional toilet. Large living room, separate kitchen and additional mezzanine floor for TV and recreation. Internet available. Wonderful views. Central location in village.

Located amidst some of the world's most spectacular scenery, Mürren is a charming little village that has managed to escape over-development despite being famous in the history of winter sports since the very start of downhill skiing. Located at one end of the legendary Jungfrau region, on the same lift pass as Wengen and Grindelwald although not linked to them by ski piste (you can however get across by a wonderful, century-old mountain railway).
Among its many claims to fame, early mention must be made of the revolving restaurant perched on top of the Schilthorn mountain, also known as `Piz Gloria` (2970m / 9750ft) with incredible views all around. The panorama from here includes Mont Blanc on the French - Italian border, the German Black Forest as well as the local peaks of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. Mürren is a car-free village, like Wengen, any drivers must park their cars in one of the large valley car parks below and take the cable cars up to the resort.

Our stay in Mürren was wonderful! The top floor apartment had great views, was well appointed, clean, and very comfortable for three friends traveling together to spread out! We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

A perfect stay in Murren!

Our family had an amazing time, we feel that it is the perfect place to stay in Murren. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The host was great, and even took some extra steps to fully accommodate our family. The location can't be beat, and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. Highly recommend staying here!

Great place great hiking!

The chalet was well kept, clean, and near the train station. It was a large comfortable space with great spaces for relaxing and playing games with the family. There was fantastic hiking in all directions around the chalet and the town had good restaurant options and a grocery store down the street. The views were stunning. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Wonderful visit!

We loved staying at the Nelson home. It was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. Communication with the property manager was fantastic; they were very helpful and answered our questions quickly. The village of Murren was a wonderful place for a vacation. We loved the car free village, easy access to amazing hiking, and of course the stunning beauty of Switzerland.

The apartment was perfect for the six members of our family. The two children particularly enjoyed staying in the loft area. The view from our balcony was stunning. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Wonderful stay in Mürren!

We loved staying up in the mountains! Andrew's place was close to the train station, had a nice view of the mountain tops, was very spacious, and had everything we needed. It was a great place to unwind after hiking and being out all day. We'd definitely recommend it, just make sure you have the ability to go up and down several flights of stairs since it's the top floor. We didn't use the upper loft section, but it's up a little ladder so keep that it mind if you'll have people sleeping up there.

Great location and apartment was as advertised. Well equiped for our needs, comfortable. I would stay there again and recommend it to others. One comment. While the local tourist tax is fair and I understand the need for it given the pressure on the community, I think a description of how it works, the need to walk to deliver the paperwork and the costs could be more prominently mentioned in the description of the property.

Great 3-night stay in this property in Murren. The apartment was light and spacious and I don’t think the pictures did it justice. Spotlessly clean, and being on the top floor made all the difference when it came to views of the mountains.

All around awesome!!

My family of 4 visited Murren for the first time. The condo was immaculate, well appointed, and interesting (books, games, etc...). My teens appreciated the loft nook away from everyone else. Location very convenient to the train and downtown and the views amazing. Hanging out on the balcony early morning with coffee the best! Property manager communication was excellent. Highly recommend this property!

Loved this place!

This apartment and the whole town of Murren was the favorite stop on our two week Swiss vacation. The apartment had everything we needed (except a washer and dryer which are a short walk down the street). The loft with beds upstairs got a little warm during the day and had narrow steps to get up to it, but at nighttime it cooled off. It is on the third floor so you have to walk your luggage up.Your family will love this place!

Spectacular Stay

Murren was our second stop on our hiking adventure in Switzerland. This well appointed property is on the top floor of the chalet with plenty of room for all 4 of us. Beds were comfyThe location was perfect in every way! It was an adventure taking the cable car up to town and the view cannot be beat. Great hiking right out of town and easy access to grocery restaurants, etc. Loved that is was quieter than the bigger cities. Gimmelwald is just a hike away. Andrew is a terrific host and VERY responsive and helpful. HIGHLY recommend. Hope to be back:)

Outstanding large apartment

We were just one couple, but this large apartment has tons of room & all the amenities you could want for a large group. Top floor apartment also means a pretty great view! We absolutely loved staying at this property & wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment is very well appointed with everything you need to cook, hang out, including coffee & cookies provided. The apartment was also very clean. They went the extra mile to help with advice on how to rent bikes & co forming a good route too. When we come back to Mürren we will want to stay here again!

Amazing Views

Apartment conveniently located close to train station and grocery store. Panoramic views from balcony are absolutely breath-taking. Apartment well-stocked and comfortable. Only caution is unit is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. Also, apt has a nice 2nd floor loft, but access is a rather steep, 'ladder-like' set off stairs.

One of the prettiest resorts in summer and winter

I have stayed at Chalet Myrenna on numerous occasions, once at Christmas and several times in the Summer. The flat is perfectly positioned in the village near all the restaurants and close to the two stations - in fact you would be hard pressed to find a more convenient location in any resort, but then Murren benefits from being a very compact and easy to get around village. The flat is very comfortable and cosy and ideal for short breaks with family or friends or a deux. Murren in Summer is great, there's actually more to do than in Winter, and the sheer beauty of the mountains and the Lauterbrunnen valley continue to enthrall. As a working rural village, not just a ski resort, with few pretensions, Murren is a remarkably good value resort too - so you can consider eating out lots and enjoying the friendly local hostelries.

Cozy flat in the clouds

Wonderful location with easy access to train station and everything else in the area. Comfortable apartment with everything you will need. It is up on the 3rd floor (stairs only) with a great view. Third bedroom in a loft area with a ladder to access it. Enjoyed a trip to Interlaken, hiking back and forth to Gimmelwald, (Cable car is available if not ready for the hike back up) and a visit to Schilthorn. There is a local tax per day/per person, so beware that it will have to be paid while there. Andrew was great to communicate with and Sue met us at the train to show us around and was there if needed. She also met us on our way out to say goodbye and make sure all was good.

Magical Mürren Chalet Apartment

This apartment is located on the main street of Mürren, with spectacular views of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. The apartment was spacious, nicely appointed and had everything we needed. It was perfect for our family of 5 with room to spread out as well as room to gather. We enjoyed evenings playing cards around the kitchen table, breakfast together in the morning, comfy beds, efficient and clean bathrooms. Great stepping off spot for hiking and touring the area. We loved it! Like a home away from home.

The apartment was perfect for our family with a 3yo and 5yo. We loved Murren and loved the apartment. It had everything we needed and there is tons to do in Murren with kids if you love hiking and outdoors. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Little home away from home perfect for families

We love Mürren but had always stayed in hotels when it was just my husband and I. This time we wanted to bring our two sons who are 15 and 12 and this rental was perfect for us. Plenty of room to spread out. Our older son stayed in the loft bedroom with the ladder. Mürren itself was spectacular as always. Such a fabulous destination and really worth it to stay up there vs travel to for the day.

Marvelous apartment in Murren

This was the perfect apartment for our family of five. Our granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed having their own "apartment within an apartment". The entire place was very clean and had all of the necessary utensils. The rooms were light. It was fun to sit on the deck in the evening. The location is great. There is a magnificent view of the mountains which is only partially obstructed but not enough to matter. Great place to stay.

Wonderful home in a wonderful place!

We really, really enjoyed our stay here. Not only is it that Murren and the Lauterbrunnen Valley, a beautiful place but Andrew, the owner also was very accommodating. Andrew will work with local management to make sure your trip is great, as ours was! Such a wonderful, special place with views that are out of this world. Best coffee terrace ever!

Incredible getaway to Mürren!

The apartment was perfect for our needs. Big, spacious, clean and convenient with stunning views from the balcony where we could enjoy breakfast or a snack after a hike in the mountains. We were greeted promptly when we arrived by Sue with constant communication from Andrew while we were on our way. They made it very easy for our family. Would highly recommend especially considering the location is perfect to explore the Jungfrau area.
