SERENITY NOW is under new management and has had to start a new VRBO listing. Unfortunately, this means we have lost all of our fantastic reviews. We have been premier hosts for many years with a 9.6 rating. We are happy to send our previous very current reviews upon request.

SERENITY NOW has Gulf Sunrises and expanded Harbour views! luxurious 6~ bedrooms (4 Kings) 5~ full bathroom, 2 Golf Carts, one 4 person and 6 person.. 4 Level spacious estate located steps from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico on Upper Captiva Island.
A quick 1~ minute golf cart ride or a 4~ minute walk to the BEACH. Large Heated pool attached to a Cabana with Full bath and two showers, all screened in for safety and bug free. Located on Oro Peso Lane, meaning "Spanish Gold", Serenity Now is hidden among palm trees, and its Harbor views are second to none!
With sleeping up to 14 people and four king master bedrooms, Serenity Now can host your next family vacation, reunion, or even wedding (fees apply). This island mansion is reminiscent of a luxury beach resort in the Caribbean, without the need for a passport.
NORTH CAPTIVA ISLAND is a private island accessible only by boat or private aircraft. Fantastic stay

This property was the perfect choice for a large family vacation. The owner and property manager were great to work with and communication was excellent. Beautiful screened porches…countless hours enjoying sunrise rises over the water, watching the kids cool off in the pool, and getting wrecked by my nephew at table tennis.

Great place to stay!!! Love the location, golf carts, very spacious ( there was 11 of us), pool was amazing for the kids, the 2 refrigerators came in handy, so nice having a washer and dryer, the house was amazing along with Nicole (the property manager) great help and a very special lady!!! We also loved North Captiva and look forward to the next trip! Shout out to Boats and Fun, Mango’s & the Ice Cream Shop!!! We would also recommend Island Girls Ferry shuttle service!!! WE ALL LOVED THIS TRIP

A Perfect Break, Pure Serenity!

We had such a nice time visiting Serenity now, the house was the perfect size for our group of 12 (adults and children) and fit everyone well in the various sized rooms. The check-in and check-out process was super easy and the property managers did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The pool was great to have on-site and the location was great, would definitely stay here again.

Great for a family vacation!

Everything was as advertised. The screened pool and recreation area was perfect for our 5 grandkids to play. We were close to the beach. The owners were very kind and responsive throughout booking and leading up to the stay. The management company was also prompt and polite. It's a nice property that was clean and everything was in working order. It was a great week of vacation

Wonderful Owners

We booked this home, and traveled to FL for our family vacation. Unfortunately hurricane Helene had made landfall just two days earlier - the home had sustained damage and we were not able to stay here or on North Captiva Island. We ended up staying on Pine Island, and enjoyed our time. Thankfully the owners were very kind and allowed us to move our booking to January of 2025, when we will once again be traveling to FL. We have stayed on the Island many times, and look forward to our stay at Serenity Now, in Jan.

Wonderful week!

Overall we had a wonderful week at this property! Tortuga property management was responsive to our needs and very helpful. We had guests from age 7-older adults and everyone was comfortable. We did not use the cabana room and all guests stayed in the main house. We look forward to visiting the island again (and hopefully a little warmer weather)!!

This hoise delivers on everything.. the pool, pool toys, the house toys and puzzles, the musical instruments for kids. The well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms plus the kitchen had any and everything you could ask for. Yhe putdoor grill was great for cooking and not heating up the.home. The televisions allowed access to many apps. The big drawback was the air conditioning. The top floor (hottest) would shut diwn and make sleeping unbearable on that floor. Some mornings it would be 87 on that floor. Attempts were made but none were successful. Overall great memories were made and we all had a good time.

Spring break 2024

This was part of our family's 2nd trip to North Captiva and the island provided the perfect vacation destination. The house had all the space we needed for our group of 14. The kids loved having the pool and the trek to the beach was short and easy. We saw lots of wildlife including dolphins on the beach everyday. Our only issue was that the water pump wasn't working when we arrived and it look a couple of days to get it resolved. Once that was on working order we were able to fully relax and enjoy the paradise that North Captiva has to offer.

Vacation getaway

The service was great. If we needed something the property managers got it for us. If this is your first time know going in that the only way to get here is by ferry and they only run certain times of the day. So if flying into Fort Myers plan accordingly. There is no grocery store on island so everything is ordered online and brought over by ferry as well. That process is easy. Great for big groups and families.

Family vacation

It was a great space for our extended family vacation! We had 12 of us and there was the perfect amount of room for all of us! We had ages 6-70’s. Just a tip, if you have older people who have difficulty with steps, this might be challenging. Also, a heads up, the convenient store in the island had some necessities, but not a lot, so make sure you get your groceries before coming over. But we did visit the store daily for delicious ice cream and coffee!! The island currently has one restaurant open due to the hurricane. It is very good food, but make sure you have enough for meals at home too. We enjoyed the quiet island life away from the hustle and bustle. Prefect For a relaxing, fun, beautiful vacation.

Family Times

The island is magical. Our family discovered it back in 2012 and we just had to come back. We needed a bigger house due to our increased family members😁 This house has fantastic charm and was perfect for 11 adults 21+. It is ideally located, great sunrise views from the top level and the property management company was responsive and timely to all questions and requests. The pool & downstairs play area was perfect for games & conversation. The living floor was spacious enough to accommodate all of us… and the kitchen was well stocked - even with spices & such (much more so than other rentals I have had). We had access to kayaks and bikes through the club - thanks to the owner! We had an amazing time and would recommend this home to our friends!

Refreshing escape

The house is nice and the island as a whole is amazing. As of Nov 2023 the island is still undergoing significant repairs from the hurricane. No biggie, just wasn't communicated with us to the extent that it should have. Two sides of the house windows were covered with plastic when we arrived and weren't taken off until we requested being able to see out the windows - they were quick to respond and removed it the next morning. The screened in pool was torn all over the top. A couple doorknobs fell off from improper installation after what appeared to be painting, but I'm not certain. There was drywall dust under all the windows where they were recently replaced. I'd say they were small but significant issues that bothered a few of us. All of those things aside, we thoroughly enjoyed N. Captiva Island and despite the inconveniences would stay there again.

Serenity Now-Terrific!

This is, I believe, our fifth visit to North Captiva Island. It is a very special place indeed-if you have not been there before, make sure you understand with NCI is about and what makes it such a unique Florida destination. We have stayed in a different homes each time depending on our family number on that particular stay. This is a terrific place to stay. The home was exactly as portrayed on the VRBO site. It was spotless on our arrival and there is an abundance of everything you might need from kitchen items, games, beach stuff, linens, and much more. As we learned previously, bring twice the food and half the clothes and you will hit it about right with what you need to supply. The home is exceptionally spacious, well lit, and has a lot of great features in terms of the layout. It gives everyone a lot of space, with a perfect location on the island and it is set in a beautiful spot with fabulous views. Tortuga Properties does the day to day management and this was a real plus-they provided all the details well before arrival to get us ready, greatly facilitated our arrival-meeting the ferry in a driving rainstorm-checked in often, and were exceptionally responsive to my inquiries during the stay. The text messaging feature is critical as the cell signal is variable over the island. This will be a great home for family vacations-nothing is lacking. Highest recommendation-Enjoy!

Cleanliness and upkeep of property are the only issues

Things that need attention: The pool screen had a tear and thus the pool was not as clean as it could have been. The pool toys were covered in mold likely because they were put away wet and left that way for quite a time. One of the golf carts seemed almost dangerous with how lose the steering was on it. There was a broken light fixture. There were little bugs in the kitchen and the loft. We reported this and someone came out and sprayed and that really helped! The walls need a good cleaning. The dining room chair seats were stained. The bed near the pool had sand on the sheets prior to our use. The code we were given to use at the club didn't work so we had to go to the office and they complained that we should have been registered and gave us a different code. I'm not sure if that was only for a day but it did not work for us either so we just went through the employee enterence to the pool to get in. The place worked for our family of 13. It was close to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Serenity Now

The house was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was very close the the Beach & Gulf. The little ones really loved the pool. It was also close to the gift shops, restaurants, and kayaking. We were 14 people ranging in age from 8 to 80 and everyone had a great time.

Serenity House

We stayed at Serenity House for a week, beginning of Jan., 2022. We vacationed with our adult children and 2 great grand babies. The house was very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and accessories, lots of towels including beach towels. Shampoo and conditioner in all the bathrooms. There was a little issue with tiny ants in the kitchen. There was a can of spray, and after serving a meal, we would spray the counters. That seemed to help. But I wouldn’t recommend leaving any food out unattended. The home was very comfortable and met our needs perfectly. The house managers were awesome, and if there was anything needed, they were on it immediately! We had a wonderful, relaxing week! Would highly recommend Tortuga Properties!!
