This was our first Vrbo rental, everything was perfect. The house was just as beautiful as pictured in the photos. The property and the pond are stunning, private and relaxing. The hosts Roger and Elaine are amazing, great communication before during and after our stay. We will definitely be back, this was truly a special place.
We enjoyed this rental! The owners are so warm, friendly and helpful. The house was beautiful and offers the opportunity for morning walks on the trails. Afternoon kayaking, and star gazing in the evening. The rental is very clean and welcoming.
Host was extremely gracious and welcoming. The home was even lovelier and more well appointed than we imagined. They had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable. The views are incredible and we hope we are invited back. Thank you.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving getaway at this cozy cabin on the lake! The host was incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The cabin had all the amenities we needed to prepare and enjoy our holiday meal, and everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The property itself is beautiful, with plenty of trails to walk and explore—perfect for relaxing and spending quality family time. The atmosphere was warm, homey, and peaceful. We loved our stay so much that we’re already planning to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake!Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable escape.
Easy 5/5 rating. The most peaceful week in Maine thanks to this house, lake and gorgeous back deck. We could not have had a better experience. Cannot recommend this place enough!
A perfect lakeside retreat! Elaine and Roger were excellent hosts. The check-in instructions were clear. The deck offers stunning water views, and the hammocks are ideal for lazy afternoons. My companions and I found the beds comfortable, especially after an afternoon of swimming and kayaking. We'll likely be back.
What a gem! Everything was just perfect and even better than our expectations. It’s so peaceful on Ingham Pond and the hosts are very welcoming. We had a couple of questions, and he helped out quickly and even had a fire going for us on arrival. The kayaking was easy and the pond connects to other large lakes. Loved it!!!
We had an incredible time at this property!! A little slice of heaven which is hard to find these days. We enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, sitting on the deck and dock with a cup of coffee. The house is wonderful, wouldn't change a thing! Roger and Elaine were so welcoming and responsive. When there was a kayak paddle missing they came within 10 minutes with a replacement! We would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
This was a perfect spot for our group to get away for a quiet, relaxing week in the woods. Roger and Elaine were wonderful hosts - very gracious and available for any questions. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, with an unusually well-equipped kitchen for a rental and a large, covered back deck where we ate dinner and watched the sun set across the pond almost every night. And Ingham Pond is a wonderfully calm hide-away - large enough to do lots of swimming and exploring by kayak, while being a bit removed from busier lake destinations.
This cabin is amazing. Right on the water, has everything you need in the kitchen, and is perfect for a large family getaway or a trip with two, or even three families if you rent the optional bunk house as well. We had a group of 4 guys for a golf trip. We got rained out and couldn't play, so we just stayed at the cabin and had a great time telling stories and enjoying the view. Highly recommend and I would def rent again. Beautiful setting!
We had such an amazing time at Roger and Elaine’s property and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, serene experience. We could not believe how private the area was, and it felt like we had the entire pond to ourselves the entire weekend. Roger and Elaine were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early, which was so appreciated. The house was perfectly clean and the kitchen was well stocked; in many ways it exceeded our expectations and made for a great trip. We are already planning our visit for next year. Thank you for an excellent stay!
Although it rained most of the time, we still had a fabulous wedding and celebration. The house was perfect, the lake and surrounding views were spectacular, fishing was terrific, the hiking was lovely, the black flies and mosquitos were few likely due to weather conditions, and the overall atmosphere was private, relaxing and stunning.
Quiet, relaxing, carefree. Swam, kayaked, canoed, fished. Ate in using the well appointed, perfectly supplied kitchen and barbeque. Meant to build a fire and roast some marshmallows but they magically disappeared. Saw deer, loons and loonets, and other wildlife. Added two birds to my lifelist. You won’t regret staying here.
The cabin, location and amenities, far exceeded any expectations..three generations agree " best vacation"!!!! . we spent the days swimming, kayaking, canoeing, walking the beautiful grounds. In the evening watching the sunset. The hosts made sure to include details such as binoculars..a highlight of the trip was watching a loon family take care of their baby. We saw a heron and Bald Eagle. I could go on and on. The cabin is cozy , the beds are comfortable and the views are gorgeous. Would I recommend this host and property? Yes!!!! We started talking about another visit before this vacation was over.
This property is a jewel. This is where they should have filmed "On Golden Pond." It is very private, yet only 20 minutes from I-95 and major supermarkets, etc. If you are looking for piece and quiet, security, a delightfully private pond and a stunning view of the opposite, natural, shoreline with no other cottages, this is your place! Beds are very comfortable with good quality linens and blankets. Kitchen is well equipped and the appliances are of very good quality. Plenty of wood is supplied for those cozy fires at night. The moment you pass through the security gate, you are greeted with a stunning view of the lakes and mountains beyond. My wife & I have rented many upscale properties all over the country and this is near the top in satisfaction. The property manager, Roger, even gave me a courtesy call a few days before arrival just to answer any last minute questions I might have. That was a nice touch. During my 2 weeks stay, he was always accessible if I needed him. We would definitely rent again! Len from NH
