Welcome to the Halbedel guesthouse. Historic charm meets modern comfort in this 2 bedroom + trundle 2 bathroom downtown haven. The location is central to all things Short North Arts district. It is walkable to local coffee shops, restaurants, wine bars, you name it! 2 block from high street and fourth. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a home cooked meal. Washer and dryer in unit, as well as a desk to work from home. Enjoy front patio seating area and off street parking.

ABOUT:
Welcome to The Halbedel guesthouse, where historical charm and hospitality await.
The name comes from, Mary Halbedel Miller, the widow of William A. Miller, former President of the Godman Shoe Company honored her late husband by building three nursery schools in Columbus, Ohio. This building was the first and it was known as: The North Side Day Nursery. In 1923 she purchased the land and built this Classic Revival building to ensure that young children, whose mothers had to enter the work force, had a place to go where they received three nutritious meals a day, be instructed in music lessons and drawing, and enjoy group games. In 2016 Urban Restorations purchased the building to turn into 6 beautiful apartments and 1 airbnb. But still keeping with its historic charm.
The Space:
Upon entry to your private first floor unit, you'll be greeted by an abundance of natural light, spacious kitchen and living room, and some original pine flooring throughout.
The kitchen is equipped with stainless-steel cooking appliances, basic cookware, quartz countertops, and seating for casual dining. Additionally, there is a small coffee station to kickstart your mornings.
The contemporary living room boasts an extra deep sofa, two side chairs, and a smart TV for entertainment. And extra sleeping with pull-out trundle cabinet. For those that need a place to work from home, we have it right in front of the beautiful oversized windows. The color palette of blues and greens creates a cool and sophisticated ambiance, while window treatments strike a balance between privacy and natural light.
The Halbedel guesthouse features two beautiful bedrooms, each equipped with blackout blinds and sound machines, guaranteeing a comfortable night of rest. Bedroom 1 boasts a queen-size bed. In Bedroom 2, you'll find a queen-size bed. The both rooms offers a closet with hanger, and nightstands with reading lamps for your comfort.
The Halbedel guesthouse provides two well-appointed bathrooms to meet your needs. Bathroom 1 is an ensuite off the primary bedroom and features a convenient stand-up shower. Plush towels, hairdryer, and essential toiletries are provided. Bathroom 2 is across from bedroom with a tub/shower combo and same essentials for your stay.
Additional amenities at The Halbedel guesthouse include high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, free parking for up to three vehicles.
The Halbedel guesthouse offers a harmonious blend of serenity and accessibility. Within a leisurely stroll, a tempting array of cocktail bars, dining establishments, and boutique shops await, inviting you to fully immerse yourself in the Short North Arts district with vibrant local scene and discover its cultural treasures.
EVENTS
Access to the property is restricted to only those individuals included in the reservation, unless prior arrangements have been made and agreed upon.
NON SMOKING
For the comfort and well-being of all guests, our property maintains a strict no-smoking policy. Smoking is prohibited on-site, and any violation of this policy will result in a charge of $250. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a smoke-free environment.
PRE-APPROVED DOGS WELCOME
We wholeheartedly embrace our furry friends! We gladly welcome pups to join you during your stay, with an additional fee of $50 per dog, and a maximum of two dogs per reservation. Because you will be staying in a recently renovated unit within a property that may have other guests, we kindly request that all dogs are well-behaved, trained, and considerate towards fellow humans. To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, we kindly ask that pets refrain from accessing the bed, uncovered furniture, and encourage the use of a crate when you are not present, if you believe it is necessary. By bringing your pet, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility and liability for their actions and any potential damages.
