Overview

About the property

ondo, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2.5 Baths: 2 full with full size Tubs

Beautiful, newer (9 years) 3 story, 1,800 ft2 condo at Schweitzer Mountain. 3+ Bedrooms (plus additional queen sofa bed in den), 2.5 baths. Additional den is great for keeping kids entertained. Comfortably sleeps 8 - 12. Large, king bed in master suite with walk-in closet, Beautiful Queen guest room, and two sets of single-over-twin bunk beds in 'bunk room'. We are original owners and provided all furnishings and amenities for ourselves and 4 children including: Granite countertops throughout, pre-wired sound system throughout condo, 3 flat screen TV's, stereo, DVD player, CD changer, CD video library, Bar, Gas fireplace, 2 car-heated garage with ski/board racks, private deck. The kitchen has gas range, quality owner-type cookware (as opposed to rental) including waffle iron, coffee maker, crock pot, blender, etc.

This has been our family ski condo and have spent the last 6 Christmases all together here. Now that all 4 our children have left home, we made the decision to let others start building their memories as we have (plus my wife wants to go somewhere warm!), so as of Nov. 8, it is still available for Christmas, New Year's and all other holidays.

Great Townhome

  • 4 of 5

Loved this townhome! You can tell the owners take pride in their home. It was great for our family and had plenty of seating around the living room and plenty of beds/bathrooms- plenty of SPACE!!! The downstairs/garage level was set up perfectly for putting on/taking off ski gear. The one and only slight negative was that it was assumed that there was a shuttle that can pick you up daily as I read it on the listing. It actually only comes from 4pm-10pm on the weekdays and then runs all day on the weekends so you have to drive up on the weekdays but that wasn't a huge deal. We would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable stay in a lovely setting with nice amenities.

  • 4 of 5

The condo was very comfortable and nicely acommomdated my wife and I along with two of our daughters, son in law, and possible future son in law :) and some grandchildren. Close to the resort so youngsters could enjoy the outdoor activities. My wife and I then sent everyone packing ;) after the weekend and had the place to ourselves for a few days of rest and relaxation enjoying the beautiful mountain surroundings. We would stay again.

Amazing condo...would not say it is ski in/ski out

  • 4 of 5

This condo is absolutely amazing! It was decorated with amazing high quality furniture (super comfortable living room furniture that easily accommodated our party of 8). The layout of the condo was perfect for our group as well. The layout with a large bonus room in the lower level was perfect for storing all of our ski gear and getting dressed before heading out. The kitchen is EXTREMELY well appointed with pretty much any cooking appliance or array of pots and pans you could think of (certainly not the case in most rentals). You can definitely tell this was someone's condo they use personally instead of one purchased and used only as a rental.

Now for the ski in/ski out...upon arrival we were hard pressed to find a way to the magical chairs run from the condo. I emailed the owner and asked what route to take (any time I emailed the owner he responded within minutes), he sent a detailed map. However, this map entailed walking up hill past several condos to arrive to the trail to reach the trail to take us to the run. On the way back was a bit more involved and included of course going down hill on gravel covered drive ways. We opted to hit the easy button and loaded up in the car and drove to the fall line parking lot which only was a few minutes from the condo. From there we easily walked to the chair and off we went.

We would absolutely stay at this condo again and the owner is very pleasant to work with and responds as I said quickly to any and all questions or concerns both before and during our stay.

AMAZING!

  • 5 of 5

My family as well as my sister's family stayed at this condo over Christmas. There were 8 of us total and the accommodations were wonderful for all of us. The owner was great to work with prior to and during the stay and responded in a timely manner (often sooner than expected). The condo is well kept and comfortable. The location to the village is great, especially with the shuttle service. We highly recommend staying at this condo.

On behalf of all of us, thank you for a memorable stay!

The property accommodated our group of 4 adults and 3 kids wonderfully . Everyone was quite pleased

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the activities on Schweitzer mountain so the property was very convenient. We drove to Sand Point in the afternoons or evening to eat, shop and walk around. On the drive down Schweitzer mountain, we always saw deer and wild turkeys, which thrilled the kids. Dan was great to work with! We are all hoping we can come back!

The Baker Condo was wonderful. We used it over a long week-end, and it was great for our family.

  • 4 of 5

We use this Condo over Martin Luther King Week-end 2017. It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It was perfect for 8 of us, and we still had room for a few more. The bunk room is excellent for kids. Two queen/full lower bunks with a twin upper bunk. Ski storage in the garage was great, and den downstairs with a pullout hide a bed was nice. There was not wifi, which would have been nice, but good to be "unconnected" for little while. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was that I would not say that it is ski in / ski out. We could not find a good way down, to Music chair without hiking up first. We talked with others around the Condo and they said there was not a good way. We just drove to the bottom of Music Chair and it was fine. I am spoiled and have been used to ski in...ski out. We had a great time, the kitchen was great with all one needed. Beautiful Condo.

About Dan Baker

Hello!

My wife and I moved our family to Hayden Lake, ID from San Diego almost 22 years. Hayden Lake is just a little over an hour South of Schweitzer Mountain and we fell in love with Schweitzer Mountain and Sandpoint. We have 4 children that are all active skiers/snowboarders and Schweitzer has always been our favorite mountain, anywhere! We wanted a true second home and this condo was perfect. We chose this condo while it was still being framed and, in terms of creating great family memories, it was the best investment we ever could have made. Since the first year we purchased it, we've spent every Thanksgiving and Christmas together with our children, and now 7 grandchildren.

We've never rented to the public before, but since our children are all out of the house now, my wife and I decided that we'd like to spend some of the winter in warmer climates. We'd love to have you start to build the memories that we have!

Dan Baker purchased this condo in 2006

Why Dan Baker chose Sandpoint

Our home is close enough to the runs that we can choose to ski all day, just take a few runs here and there, stop back in for lunch or watch a movie with the grandkids. The Village is within walking distance with the Resort, shops and restaurants. The Village has a great Activity Center for children and adults, with Hermit's Hollow Tubing, Zip Line, ski-school, free afternoon matinees during ski-season, sledding, horseback riding and more. Santa even visits our Condo on Christmas Eve on the mountain's Firetruck!
