We arrived quite late at night and had no food/drink, no shops were open en route from the airport. The hosts mum was wonderful and gave us some milk, fruit and snacks. She was hospitable throughout our stay, really lovely lady. The villa is very well equipped, we didnt need anything, even washing up liquid dishwasher tablets and laundry products were supplied. Everything you need is there, it even has two kitchens. The beach is a minutes walk from the back garden, via an underpass. Its a gorgeous beach with lovely calm water when we were there. We were a group of 9 and there was plenty of room. Lots of gathering areas/ tables and chairs and a massive verandah out the back off of the main kitchen. Secret garden at the back with table and chairs overlooking the beach. We were warned that a car was advisable but we like to have time off driving when we are away. The area is lovely and very quiet but the walk to the shops isnt great, we had young children and found ourselves walking on the road a fair amount. However we knew a car was advisable and we managed to do it. The pool is gorgeous and massive. Kids were in it 8 hours a day most days. There isnt an awful lot in the local area, a couple of supermarkets and some bars/ restaurants, but this is precisely what we wanted. We ate out 4 times during our stay and never had a bad meal. Absolutely loved our stay here!! Took an hour to get to Athens on the bus too and was really cheap, bus stop is 5 minute walk.
