I typically send these as close to the check-in time as possible, as I often approve late check-outs for previous guests—an approach that generally leads to a smoother experience for everyone. Additionally, each guest receives a unique, updated door code shortly before arrival to ensure security. Nonetheless, I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. I also regret the delay in sharing the Wi-Fi information and understand how inconvenient this must have been. To improve communication, I now provide a QR code with the most current password information for guests’ convenience. Parking in the area can be challenging during late or after-hours check-ins. For prospective guests reading this response, please feel free to reach out with any questions about the neighborhood. I am happy to provide personalized recommendations and professional travel tips to enhance your stay. Parking is particularly difficult in large cities during holidays and major events, but with proper planning, these challenges can be minimized. I’m sorry to hear your stay wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been, as my goal is always for guests to feel comfortable and welcome from the moment they arrive. During your visit, you accidentally locked yourself out of the unit after midnight, and I was happy to make the 60-minute drive to personally let you back in right away. I want guests to know they can count on me to respond quickly when the unexpected happens. Regarding the odor you mentioned, I wasn’t aware of any issue prior to your stay. The can of Febreze is kept near the bathroom for guests to use if they wish, not because of a known problem. You also noted seeing a roach. I truly wish this had been reported while you were here so I could have taken immediate steps to address it for you and ensure it wouldn’t affect future guests. Following your feedback after your departure, I arranged for treatment as a precaution. I appreciate your comments, as they help me continue to improve the property and provide a better experience for every guest.

Thank you for your feedback. As a courtesy, I left individual butter sticks and bottled water in the refrigerator for your stay, and I’m glad you were able to enjoy the bottled water. Regarding check-in: another guest mistakenly locked the shared front door, thinking they were the only group in the building. I immediately contacted them and the housekeeper (a full-time resident) who came quickly (10 min) to unlock it. Before you left for your event in NYC, you had difficulty locking your unit; And, later that evening, around 1:30am, you again had difficulty with the keypad and became locked out. As soon as you phoned me, I unlocked the unit remotely. I also noticed you left open the front door when checking-out of the building, which could have posed a security concern—though thankfully, the property is in a safe and friendly neighborhood. The unit is equipped with WiFi-connected locks and several modern amenities, including air conditioning units in both rooms and a huge 52' fan chandelier. I would also have been happy to address any concerns about the technology, cleanliness, comfort, or amenities during your stay if given the opportunity. While I regret your experience didn’t meet your expectations, most guests find the space clean, comfortable, relaxing and very welcoming.

I do want to clarify that during your stay, there was an unauthorized gathering by another guest, which is strictly against our house rules. As soon as we became aware of it, we took immediate action and required that guest to leave the property. We sincerely apologize for the disturbance this caused, as it does not reflect the standard experience we provide. Regarding cleanliness, we take this very seriously and have not had prior reports of the issues mentioned. That said, we’ve followed up with our cleaning team to ensure everything continues to meet our standards. We strive to provide a comfortable and family-friendly environment, and situations like this are not typical.
