Notes:
We installed a water treatment system the Spring of 2015. Sulfur smelling water is very common for well water near a lake. Although it could smell, it is not harmful (we have the water tested on a regular basis) It also does NOT make you or your clothes smell after washing. With this new water treatment system - the water is now quite soft and odor free. Snowmobiles can be parked under the deck in the back. Security camera access is available.

Great house and location, beautiful lake and lots of other lakes nearby. Set off the road a ways with large backyard and meadow in front that was lit up with fireflies at night. Had a great time.

Little Piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

My family spent an amazing and relaxing week on this little piece of heaven on the lake. This is a perfect spot for anyone who has a boat, you can dock it right at the house. Short ride to Jay Peak which has a fun indoor water park. Having spent all my summers in this little town it is great to come back with my family and enjoy the countryside and lake with them. The house was clean, comfortable, had all necessary items for cooking. Only downside was the upstairs would get warm during the day, but who wants to be inside when you are on the lake :) I would definitely recommend this home.

Peaceful and serene

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage with us! The cottage is clean and well-appointed with a wonderful view of Lake Memphremagog. The setting in the picturesque countryside of Northern Vermont was the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Hearing the loons from the Lake at night was a true pleasure.

We were able to bring our little sailboat and take full advantage of the Lake. It was also great to have the Newport Town Dock and Eastside Restaurant to sail up to! We had some concerns about travelling into Canada, but it turned out to be not trouble at all!

Thanks again!

My family and I spent a relaxing week at this beautiful lakefront home. Much of the time was spent fishing, swimming and playing volleyball. We were able to rent a pontoon boat at the local marina and dock the boat right at the house.

The weather was perfect, not to hot, not to cold, and the restaurants in town, are very good when you dont feel like cooking or BBQing..

But our favorite nighttime activity was Going to the Pick and shovel for delicious ice cream every night for amazing cones at an amazing price.

We plan to return every year and enjoy beauty of Northern Vermont.

This is the place you'll want to stay on your vacation

  • 5 of 5

We have been staying at this cottage for a number of years, however, we were delighted when the new and present owners acquired the property and upgraded the cottage and the dock. The new furniture especially the beds are really comfortable. The addition of the dishwasher and the new dock defintely enhanced our vacation stay. The property is clean and well maintained and the new owners promptly responded to our questions. I would and have highly reccommended this place to friends and relatives. Whether your a fisherman or just want to relax on the water this is a nice private place to do all that and more. It is just a few miles by boat or car to nearby Newport VT where there is plenty of dining and shopping opportunities.

Fabulous views of Lake Memphremagog. Winter guests - property is right on the VAST trail, snowmobile in and out! Great for families as large lawn leads to the private waterfront. Swim off the dock, sun yourself on the deck, bring your own boats, new dock with room for multiple boats. We also have a mooring (for big boat launching). Trophy fishing abounds here too, so bring your rods. As for the land, our cottage has a beautiful lawn perfect for hanging out. But there's also incredible biking (and in winter, cross country skiing and snowmobiling) right out the front door. The roadways and views, with their mix for farmsteads and vast wilderness, are truly spectacular. There's golf at Newport Country Club, or drive 20 minutes to Jay Peak's resort, Orleans Country Club, or the Barton Country Club or into Quebec's gorgeous Eastern Townships or Montreal, which is only 1.5 hours away (Don't forget to bring your passport!). In wintertime, alpine skiing at Jay Peak is a mere 25 minutes away and Owl's Head and Stowe are in the vicinity.
