Guestbook comments from the owner

We had never been to Rocky Point before. We found the casita to be clean, cozy and very nice in a quiet, safe community. I love to cook and the kitchen had everything. The bedroom and living room were very comfortable. The mattress in the bedroom was wonderful! We loved your books on Mexican history, nature and culture. Our dogs played safely in your fenced in yard. The neighbors were helpful.

Well Supplied

  • 5 of 5

This property was well supplied with paper towels, plenty of filtered water for cooking or drinking, lots of mini samples of shampoos, conditioners, and other toiletries, coffee machine and filters. The full-size refrigerator allowed us to stock our provisions of food and drink. The CD collection was packed with choices for every genre.

We walked three blocks to the ocean to enjoy snorkeling and relaxing by the beach. There is easy access to port restaurants, as well as fresh seafood purchases at the port. You can also access horseback riding from “El Establo” at the local beach (Mi Playa) or to ride in the vicinity of La Choya.

The casita owner, Elizabeth, was very responsive via email to any questions we had with regard to operation of this rental.

We make this trip annually to access the inexpensive wild seafood, fabulous seafood restaurants, plus easily affordable horsebackriding ($40-$45 per person for one and a half hours).

Lovely experience

  • 4 of 5

The owner and the staff were wonderfully attentive and helpful during our stay. We felt very cared for and enjoyed the property very much. It was in an easy to get to central location with walking distance to a small quaintness of a locals beach. The privacy of the property and it being a gated community with a security guard at the entrance created a nestled feeling, which also added to the positive experience. For example, I accidentally left my car door open over night and in the morning the guard made sure my car and I were okay. It was a great experience and recommend staying there.

Much bigger than I thought it would be!

  • 5 of 5

Since this was called a "Casita", I assumed it would be much smaller! Was very spacious, at least as casitas go. Very well "equipped", nice linens, towels, etc., and plenty of them! Kitchen well stocked as well. Quiet location at end of the street. On site security made us feel safe, even walking to town, etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice, comfortable home

  • 4 of 5

The house was great and well equipped. We enjoyed hanging out there, and the beach is not far at all. I've stayed in Las Conchas before (another gated community) and I prefer that neighborhood and beach over this one. But this was a great value for the price!
