Guestbook comments from the owner

We had never been to Rocky Point before. We found the casita to be clean, cozy and very nice in a quiet, safe community. I love to cook and the kitchen had everything. The bedroom and living room were very comfortable. The mattress in the bedroom was wonderful! We loved your books on Mexican history, nature and culture. Our dogs played safely in your fenced in yard. The neighbors were helpful.

Cute, quiet spot

  • 4 of 5

The house is located at the end of a quiet, private gated & guarded drive. It feels safe and has virtually everything you would need to have an enjoyable visit. I especially appreciated the gas grill, beautiful patio lounging area on the front porch, the double kayak, the privacy we had and being so close to the beach. We didn't use the living room so much but the kitchen/dining room was a nice hang-out spot, wonderful for cooking up so much of the inexpensive seafood Puerto Penasco has to offer. It looks like development in this area got off to a false start, as there are lots of vacant tourism properties around but we did not mind this so much as it made the area feel more private.

Clean, secure and private home right near the beach!

  • 5 of 5

Elizabeth accepted our last minute request and called me immediately to help us out! The house was great, big and private, it has it's own security gate and a gate at the entrance to the community so we always felt safe. I would definitely stay again!

Economical accommodations

  • 3 of 5

We found this to be an economical accommodation with the facilities we needed. The main bed was comfortable (we didn’t try out the others). The neighbors were very friendly and we felt safe in the area.

cute

  • 5 of 5

The casita was very cute. Area was kind of run down but neighborhood was nice. Some of the nicest neighbors ever. Went down for my husband's birthday and it was very relaxing. All the food recommendations were spot on At least the one's we had the opportunity to get to. Puerto Penasco was beautiful. Security was excellent.Only complaint is if you thought you would be able to keep up with what's going on in the world forget it. Only 2 channels both in spanish. And we "no hablo, Espanol"

Well Supplied

  • 5 of 5

This property was well supplied with paper towels, plenty of filtered water for cooking or drinking, lots of mini samples of shampoos, conditioners, and other toiletries, coffee machine and filters. The full-size refrigerator allowed us to stock our provisions of food and drink. The CD collection was packed with choices for every genre.

We walked three blocks to the ocean to enjoy snorkeling and relaxing by the beach. There is easy access to port restaurants, as well as fresh seafood purchases at the port. You can also access horseback riding from “El Establo” at the local beach (Mi Playa) or to ride in the vicinity of La Choya.

The casita owner, Elizabeth, was very responsive via email to any questions we had with regard to operation of this rental.

We make this trip annually to access the inexpensive wild seafood, fabulous seafood restaurants, plus easily affordable horsebackriding ($40-$45 per person for one and a half hours).
