Comfortable 2 bedroom Villa located in the Heart of Santa Teresa Town, up the hill, inside "Paradise Hills" Gated Community.
The simple tranquility of the mountains, along with the amenities offered by the house will be perfect for a relaxing holiday in Costa Rica.
Casa Colina accommodates 4 persons. Has a terrace, where you can enjoy the most beautiful ocean view or simply have a drink at the private swimming pool.
2 bedrooms (1 en suite) and two bathrooms. Each room with AC and ceiling fan.
Fully equipped kitchen. Living room with Smart TV, Terrace with dining table and bbq grill.
5 minutes drive (1 km) to the beautiful white sand beach, surfing spots, shops and restaurants. Since the villa is at the top of the hill is absolutely needed 4x4 vehicle (car, quad or boogie)
Plenty of open space, sliding glass doors to the pool across the house and stunning sunsets all year round.

The road was a little wild but the property and the house were absolutely stunning. Possibly the nicest place that I've ever stayed anywhere as far as the view and the layout of the house.

Casa Colina

Such a great property! The views were just amazing, even though it’s close to a road it’s very quiet and extremely private! The property manager was helpful and responsive to all our questions and was very helpful with directions to the property, that road is no joke and such an adventure! Get a 4x4 for sure!! We’d stay here again in a heart beat!

Santa Teresa Casa Colina Seaview

Easy to find, turning at Eat Street Restaurant. We did require the use of 4 wheel drive vehicle. Gate was always secure at the property. Check in was seamless. The property was Beautiful and we enjoyed our time there and at the pool! Preparing meals and BBQ enjoying the space and views! Any requests we had for our host were answered quickly and we used their connections to quickly and easily rent our 4wheel drive vehicle. They supplied a handy guide for restaurants and amenities in the area which was appreciated!

Party central,and not for good reasons

The propery is nice..BUT...There are neighbors who are connected to the same building, with screaming kids looking through the fence,and yes they can see the pool area. The Big house behind on the hill,50 ft away,is party zone as its a huge place,plus neighbors who are Glamping..Not a private quiet place as people have written,the property behind is new so i guess this is a new thing. The driveway up is like a scene from Mad Max with teens and 20 year olds on ATVs and motorcycles,with the road resembling a track for motocross. When i did finally get through to property manager,she said if the loud music was not turned off by 11:30 to call her and she would get the police..By that time we were done..We finally got a little sleep by 4am and left for a way nicer establishment 20 km down the road.. Final conclusion...if your a party animal and want the husle and bustle of Santa Teresa with the dust storm,and just want a nice place to crash and are in your 20s..its perfect..Other than that forget it..Trust me.

Amazing view, amazing host

What an amazing property and responsive hosts! I think our stay was summed up by our daughter on the last night. They said as we watched the sunset " I don't want to leave". The place was amazing with all the amenities we needed (kitchen, A/C, pool). We had a few things did go wrong during our stay (internet out, cooktop broke) but the host (Amanda) was so amazing and responsive anytime we needed anything, it was fixed within hours. A few notes: You absolutely need a 4x4 vehicle to get to the place. The drive up involves steep grades and a water crossing. I enjoyed the challenge but I can imagine some may be uncomfortable with the journey. We also found many restaurants in Santa Theresa delivered to the house so we took advantage of this a few times. Do not miss the sunset, and it is best enjoyed in the pool.

Amazing time in Santa Teresa

Our stay at Casa La Colina was amazing. The property is everything it says it is and more. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The view is stunning! When they say they recommend ATV’s, believe it! It is quite a ride to the house. And it was definitely part of the fun. And make sure you have a 4x4 to get there to begin with. The house is great. The communication and help was prompt and friendly. Santa Teresa is an adventure. We’ll be back.

Pros and Cons for this Rental

To begin, let me say that i was a VRBO owner in Costa Rica for over 10 years in the Uvita area. I have travelled the entire country for in excess of 30 trips in the last 15 years. This was my 6th trip to the Mal Pais area. I am qualified to leave this review. First, as to arrival we had a very "chat oriented" reception with pictures and maps, etc. but ZERO checkin help. Literally the keys were in the front door. Upon arrival, we realized that the kitchen was VERY poorly appointed and there was in fact no hot water to the kitchen sink. When i advised (via chat) the manager i was told "oh, that is VERY common in Costa Rica not to have hot water in a kitchen sink". Uh huh. So as to pros and cons. The pros; easy access up from the center of Santa Teresa; nice pool and great ocean view. TV and internet excellent and AC throughout house if that is important to you. Guarded and gated access to the subdivision. As to cons; the owner has the houses stacked on each other. We literally could easvesdrop on our nextdoor neighbor. Lots of dogs barking, not the "pura vida" i am used to. Entrance was not attractive and the house sterile. Like i said; pros and cons. I would not stay there, nor would i recommend it. But that is just me.

Yes, I think this is just you Joseph, since this is the first bad review I get of this Villa in more than 6 years. I'm sorry you felt so disappointed that the kitchen sink didn't have hot water, cleaning service is included on the rate and they Do wash dishes for you so I don't understand your complain about it. You wanted a presence check in during Pandemic times? No problem at all! but you didn't request it. We are doing the best through Whatsapp to guide guests to the house so they can auto check in, this is what most of my guests are asking in the last months due Covid, they want to be protected and I also like to protect my employees. That is why keys are waiting for guests at the front door, don't understand why that is a con for you. About the dogs barking... maybe you heard some monkeys howling? With so many years and knowledge about Costa Rica is wired that you complained about this. The Villa is next to a natural reserve, and is one of the main attractions of the place. Pura Vida!

Top Aussicht und Ambiente hoch über Santa Teresa Beach

Wir hatten 5 Tage sehr schöne Tage im Casa La Colina genossen. Das Ambiente und die Aussicht sind absolut top. Es gab einzig einige Details (verkalkte Duschen und Wasserhähnen) zu bemängeln. Ansonsten hat das Haus unsere Erwartungen vollauf erfüllt. Die Hausübergabe und Rückgabe verlief unkompliziert.

Best View in Town

I stayed at Casa La Colina in April and was amazed at first by the view, but also by the house itself. Walk out the guest rooms or living room right into the pool! Beautiful view, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, nice breeze rolling through the house, it was a little slice of paradise. A short jaunt down the hill (by car is best but doable on foot) right into town with all the restaurants and beaches you could ask for. House has all the amenities you need to have a relaxing and peaceful vacation.

perfect vacation spot

We had the best vacation ever. Mercedes took care of any and all needs to allow us to relax and enjoy this beautiful villa. Every detail was taken into consideration at this wonderful place. The kitchen is fully functional with everything you might need. The views are amazing, the pool area is fantastic and very relaxing, and the beach is very close. The beach is beautiful-perfect for surfing. In town there are terrific restaurants and shops. We loved the location and highly recommend this villa.

Simply Amazing!

I have traveled the world and to say that Santa Teresa is one of the most beautiful places on earth is an understatement. The people, the restaurants, the beaches cannot be compared. Casa La Colina was perfect for myself and my family with spectacular sunset views over the ocean! Our rental agent and host Mechy along with her family could not be nicer and exceptionally accommodating. Every one of our needs were met. We are definitely going back again soon! Pure Vida!

Modern & Breathtaking Views

The property was new & modern with Television, Wifi and the most beautifully amazing views of the ocean and mountain that I've ever seen . And what a bonus, even great restaurants will deliver directly to the house. . The best vacation house ever, can't wait to return.
