This property is to die for! The pictures do it no justice!!
I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone who loves outdoors and the beautiful Mother Nature. The home is very spacious and very homey but we stayed the most time outside (Once you see it you will understand). The house provides everything you could possibly need. No need to bring anything but your clothes and the food you want to eat! We didn’t bring our kids because we wanted to check it all out ourselves first but there will DEFINITELY be a next time and we will take them then! There is a bridge at the end of the property and around 7:30-8 the 100’s of bats 🦇 come out from under it and start their hunt. It was the most amazing experience! I can’t wait until we book our next reservation!!!
We're so glad you loved our little piece of heaven! Looking forward to having yall back out!! 😊
Great family get away
This was our first time booking a vacation rental through VRBO. We booked our stay for 2 nights in the middle on June. Jada was very helpful and made the process extremely smooth. There were 6 people in our group. My wife and I and our youngest (17 y/o male). And my older son's family (22 y/o couple and our 2 y/o granddaughter). The house was perfect for all the ages in our group!
Once we got situated we stepped out the back porch to take in the view and it was beautiful. To get down to the river access you had to climb a set of stairs. Before opening the gate you could look down into the river and actually see the fish swimming around! The steps to go down are pretty steep, we had to carry the granddaughter down to it.
The water was really nice! We couldn't believe how much water was pouring out of the spring! It was amazing! There is a little man-made pool where the spring water pours out of where you can go right in. The water was very cold! I went back up and grabbed some lawn chairs to bring down and we sat in them and enjoyed our time watching our granddaughter run around and chase the fish!
I know for sure there was Striped Bass in the river. We did also see one Catfish, about 12-16" long.
There is a charcoal BBQ grill outside on the back. Bring your own charcoal if you plan on using it. Jada does have a stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils. However if you love cooking out and are use to your own stuff bring some tongs, a good cutting knife and cutting board.
In the evening around 8 pm we went back down to the river. If you go to the left there is a bridge there. We brought the lawn chairs down and sat by the bridge and waited for the bats to emerge. Right around 8:30 they started to come out! Easily over 400 bats. They came flying right over us! It is definitely a site to see. Went back the next day and the bats came out around 8:45 pm that night.
For me personally my favorite part was at night. I'm really big into stargazing. You could go out on the front driveway and look up and see it all. We were so fortunate to have clear skies the nights we were there. Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were both visible with the naked eye. It was a fantastic view to take in.
I wish we could have stayed longer. Everyone enjoyed it there. Jada is an outstanding host, whenever we had any questions she was a simple text away and would respond quickly.
Highly recommend this place for a family get away, looking forward to our return trip!
Spectacular vacation spot
Not only were the amenities great but it was also in a great location. There was lots of room and it was very clean. I would not change a thing I hope to plan many more vacations at this location. I would like to thank everyone for making my trip one I will never forget.
We were so glad to host yall and thrilled you had such a great time! Look forward to having yall back :)
Near Garner State Park and has very cold A/C
The place was kept up very well. Had plenty of room for 7 people plus some if needed . The walk to the river has steep stairs and no handrail ,but well worth the trip. The river was low when we went ,but the river pool had plenty of cold water for the grandkids to play in. The house is only about 30 minutes from Garner State Park and the drive through the hills is great. The only knock was no internet so the grandkids had to be entertained like the old days---outside playing in the river !
Spring break get away.
Relaxing getaway with an amazing hostess!
We had two families join together for some time to catchup and unwind, and this rental was the perfect size for us. Our boys enjoyed exploring down by the water and roasting marshmallows by the fire at night. The back porch is so relaxing! We took a day trip to Garner State Park, which was beautiful too. Jada was a fabulous hostess and so accommodating. We enjoyed the beautiful view and cooling off in the fresh spring. So recharging to be able to unplug and enjoy God's nature!
