Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Park are only about 15 minutes away making for great day trips. With an abundance of wildlife. Sleeps up to 9 people and pets are welcome with a fee.

We had the perfect weekend stay! The home had plenty of room for our family, making it comfortable and relaxing. The location was absolutely beautiful, and having river access made it even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!

The house was nice, cozy, clean and roomy. Everything you need in a home was available to you. The whole property is just beautiful and the river was running great where we could float down the river or just lounge in our chairs. It was perfect timing when we went!We even took our family pic on the river. with the waterfall behind us. Garner state park is about a 30 minute drive and that was fun as well. We will definitely be coming back.

We loved it ! Just what we needed for the Frio River ! Love the small town atmosphere! People were super nice at the stores. Going back to the house, it was very comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back. The trees were beautiful especially the big ones especially the ones by the river which is probably full now because of the rain !

We loved the old house! Enough room for us and the kids, large livingroom. Great views of the starry sky. Right down the road, walking distance, from the house. The little town was beautiful old timey and great for roamin. Loved it all.

Great Property

We had a great stay at this place. We floated the Frio one day and the next day enjoyed a hangout in Leakey we know. Afterwards we spent the evening at the Utopia Lake and floated on it and did the rope swing as well. The owner was always quick to respond to us and even had someone bring us a propane bottle to use due to our group forgetting ours. All in all it was a great trip!

Your own private Blue Hole

Gorgeous property. Edenic. Essentially a personal-sized version of Wimberley’s famed blue hole. The birding didn’t disappoint either! An incredible display of fireflies and truly awesome ancient towering cypresses. Typical “river cabin”y rustic house. A/C and Wifi worked well.

Wonderful

Roomy, clean, and well appointed. The river was super low, perhaps some pictures of what that normally looks like instead of the rushing falls in the current photo would be a good idea. Not a deal breaker at all, it was just difficult to figure out where to access the water, a property map would be a super addition! Owner very friendly and responsive, The BBQ area, patio and layout were perfect for our group of all ages. Great for bird watching and wildlife viewing - deer, birds and butterfles were abundant. Would stay here again for sure!

Very nice stay . We had plenty of sleeping space . Only thing is one bathroom. If you have multiple guest staying , it can be a little frustrating having to wait for showers . There were no neighbors on this little stretch of land. There also was an added bonus which was a small creek in the back behind the house that had a perfect little swimming hole. This place is awsome. Would stay again !

Wonderful Place to Stay

We had a fantastic time at the property. The location was great, with pretty quick access to the nearby state parks, and the house itself was clean and cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. Backyard was also effectively a big nature area, which was itself also beautiful and fun to walk around in.

Rug very dirty, oven extremely dirty. In my opinion places where accept dogs shouldn’t have carpets. Everything else was fine.

Relaxing place

Nice cozy little get away house. Just outside the town close enough to lost maples and garner. Ernie and Mac’s had great food. Most deer I’ve ever seen at one time!

Beautiful property, accurate info, very happy, thanks a million!

Had 7 grown men stay comfortably for a bachelor party weekend. The kitchen and grill had all we needed. Firepit kept us warm, we had plenty of patio space outback and land to play some games. Beds, linens, dishes, and all rooms very clean. Plenty of towels and t.p. washer, dryer, oven, ac units, TV, wifi, and electronics all working. The property manager was prompt with responses and very clear. The check in and checkout was a breeze. No headaches guaranteed here! The stream was a fun hike and great for a zenful moment and reflecting on good times. If you are on the fence about renting i hope my review helps! Def stay here :)

Hondo dove hunt

exactly what we were looking for. A bed for every hunter. We arrived about 10pm and left at 5am so all we needed was a hot shower, a bed to sleep in, and a coffee pot. We had all that and more. It's a comfortable place with everything you need to rest and relax for a few hours or a few days.

Utopia VRBO

The house was large enough to sleep two families. It had a nice, large, covered patio. The river flowing behind the house was beautiful. But the house smelled pretty moldy, probably the carpet in the back bedroom. And the hot water wasn't working the first night. Only one bathroom for a 9 person house is kinda small. It's a little expensive for the lack of cleanliness and amenities.
