  • Property was clean and comfy. Plenty of space for guests, very charming decor.

"Very nice place to get away! I hosted my sisters bachelorette weekend, it was comforting to know only the cows and deer would here us laughing all night!"

  • House Was "Fine"

"We've stayed in many houses in Fredericksburg so I don't give this review lightly. There are advertised items I believe need to be corrected. First of all, the beds were not queen size. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch. Second, I would never advertise this house within walking directions. It was obviously listed that way to market the house. It wasn't a big deal for us but for anyone who thinks they are getting a house that is a stroll will be greatly disappointed. Third, there was no WiFi. It's 2017 and every house should have this standard. We did read this in the previous review however really didn't believe it. Lastly, the bathroom was a challenge. Yes, we know the house is old and honestly, we love old houses but the toilet LITERALLY was under the sink. This resulted in your knees either under the sink or needing to sit to the side. The owner left drinks and snacks which were a nice touch. It's obvious someone lives in this house as it did feel like we were staying in someone's home while they were away. It did the trick but I wouldn't say it was the best house we've staying in Fredericksburg."

  • Perfect Anniversary getaway

"Beautiful property and guest home were perfect for our anniversary weekend. It was the best of both worlds providing privacy, and just a short drive to Main St for shopping and nightlife. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Cozy little loft in a great location

"My wife and I stayed here on a bitterly cold night and really enjoyed it. The place is small but the space is very efficiently used and quite comfortable. It's well done. It's right on the main drag through town and could not be more convenient for most of the things you'd want to do in Fredericksburg (especially if you plan to drink and don't want to have to drive anywhere). Two cautions/things you should know: 1. there is art for sale on the walls, some of it for a few hundred dollars. Because this is a converted attic and those are knee walls the art is at leg level. You might not want to have a rambunctious dog (if they're pet friendly; I don't know) or a small child here. 2. I'm a big guy (6' with a 48" chest) and, again because it's an attic, the shower was a very tight fit for me. It was usable but there was a lot of bumping going on. Don't let that stop you, though. It was nothing more than a minor annoyance."
