Amazing Week on the Eastern Shore!

Our family stayed for a week at this amazing secluded property. We have stayed at many rentals up and down the Eastern Shore as well as the Outer Banks and this was the cleanest house we have ever stayed in. The location was quiet and peaceful and the dock and screened in porch were where we spent most of our time. The screened in porch was a great spot to relax, eat meals, and play board games. The view was incredible and we launched our boat at the marina right down the street and had it docked all week at the house. The house was well equipped and close enough to town for restaurants and shops as well as the Food Lion and other stores. Being able to bring our pup and have plenty of room for her to run and swim was a huge plus. Our host was incredibly communicative and helpful. 5 stars and can't wait to go back again!

We rented the house for friends and family from Europe to stay in while here for my daughters wedding. They wrre super impressed by the accommidations and speed to which any issue was handled. The house was very nicely decorated and had all the amenities needed to feel like you were home. As put by the persons staying at the home ... "it was TOO comfortable, we dont want to leave."

Tranquil Waterfront Retreat

If you are looking for a quiet, canine friendly waterfront retreat, look no further. The home and its grounds are absolutely beautiful and there is private waterfront access to the Chesapeake Bay. My family and I were looking for a place just to get away from the noise and the hustling bustle of Fourth of July weekend. While we did not completely avoid neighbors with fireworks, the entire area was completely quiet by 10 PM. The house itself is very quiet inside. Very well built. There was plenty of space for myself, my three family members, and my dog to spread out and find a comfortable spot. The hammock in the front yard, the porch, or the Adirondack chairs by the water all make for comfortable places to relax. As an avid kayaker, I was thrilled that this property had several boats to choose from so I did not have to bring mine from home and I found the private canal to be an amazing asset. Just throw a boat in the water and paddle out. While the water is tidal, the tides here are gentle and easy for beginner paddlers to navigate. In my 20+ years of kayaking I even managed to get my 65-year-old mother to paddle with me for the first time and she managed wonderfully. I would be remiss if I did not mention how attentive and amazing the owners of this property are. They are very knowledgeable of the area and take great pride in their gem of a home. They really helped to make this trip truly special for myself and my family. Thank you John and Denise.

Immaculate, well appointed and peaceful!

The house was perfect for our family’s long weekend stay in April 2024. The location is splendid for its views, water accessibility and peace and quiet. We kayaked to the barrier island (approx.15 min) and found many pristine whelk sea shells. We thoroughly enjoyed crabbing and fishing in the creek as well bird watching. The homeowners really have provided just about everything you could ask for as far as amenities and supplies. Additionally they were very helpful and informative when we had questions. We will definitely be staying here again!

Overnight stay

The apartment is exactly as pictured and described in the listing. This has to be one of the loveliest rentals we have ever stayed at! The apartment was clean and smelled amazing: I would love to know what they used to make it smell so wonderful. The beds were incredibly comfortable , so much so we slept later than we planned. Even with all the sleeping areas used, we found the apartment spacious. As a family of 5 we never have enough towels, our hosts made sure to leave extra towels for us. The towels were not those scratchy ones most places include, they were thick luxurious towels. We appreciated the thoughtfulness. Our hosts thought of everything! They left a book with area information and recommendations. They also supplied us with toiletries incase we forgot anything, water in the fridge and everything we would need for morning coffee. I cannot thank them enough for all the little extras they included.
