Imagine sweeping seaside views from your cliff top deck, crashing waves, salt air invigorating your skin, gorgeous dark night skies, peace and quiet, and getting back in touch with nature. Now add a solidly built home with comfortable beds, clean & spacious bathrooms, ample kitchen, and lots of windows to take in the views. The home is on solar and that came in very handy one day during a planned island power outage- we were able to turn on the solar power to protect the food in our fridge/freezer. Also, the air conditioning was really nice to use in the dusk and dawn hours when you need to close up the home to avoid the "no see ums" getting inside. The rest of the time we loved opening the windows and turning on the ceiling fans to bring the fresh air inside. And be sure to get up early to catch the beautiful sunrise from this wonderful home/property!We'd also recommend renting an SUV through Robert Thompson (aka Mr Bones Car Rental). His wife, Tiffany, runs Daddy Joe's Restaurant in Gregory Town. Be sure to enjoy thier fresh delicious food and don't miss Taco Tuesday with live music! And when our departure flight was canceled last minute, Daddy Joe's provided us with a clean, comfortable room for the night. What an amazing house! We loved every second of our stay at Cocomo Cottage. This was our first visit to Eleuthera and felt like location was perfect. The cottage is within an easy drive of all the beauty Eleuthera has to offer. We hope to return one day soon.

The views and breeze were wonderful. The bed and linens very comfortable. The information packet provided made it easy to get around. 4WD for the drive and other roads is a must. We felt home away from home with the pups and would love to try to get them back with us. The house could use a few updates but was a very comfortable house. It was also in a great central location to go north or south. We would definitely stay again at Palm Bluff!

Property is beautiful and secluded. As people before have said, it is best to have a higher SUV type vehicle, the hill before the parking spot is a pretty good hill. House is perfect, off grid, quiet and had everything we needed. We didnt use the AC but had no issues with anything being off grid. Water access was easy for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and snorkeling (go right from the stairs for shallow water and left for deeper water and more fish/coral). If you are looking for a laid back vacation this is the place for you, if you are looking for resort type living pick another island. Thank you Petagay for everything and we hope to be back soon!

Out of all the rental properties myself and my wife have visited, the Turtle House is at the top of our list. From the moment we booked, our host/hosts were immediately helpful, responsive, and considerate of our needs and questions. I never factored in the importance of a truly gracious host, but boy did this property change my thinking. Mark, the primary host listed for this property, was traveling during our stay, and we had the delight of being greeted by his partner/wife Susan. She was by far the most accommodating and personable person that we have ever met in regards to out of country traveling accommodations. Both Susan, and Mark, went out of their way to ensure we had the knowledge, confidence, and insight, to explore Eleuthera as if it was our own familiar stomping grounds. Coming to the Bahamas, or any country outside your own can be an intimidating experience at first. Let me just say, any and all queries or concerns were IMMEDIATELY resolved. The home was so clean, you could eat dinner off of the floor. The property so perfectly nestled amongst the palms and greenery, that you feel as though you are lost in the jungle (in only the best of ways). Their private beach, and rooftop deck offer the best view of the sunset that you could imagine, with gin clear waters just beyond your doorstep. Don’t bother booking a turtle excursion, as less than 500ft down the beach is a literal sea turtle sanctuary, where dozens of turtles call their happy home. The perfect stay.

Wonderful time on Eleuthera- weather was perfect and accommodation was as advertised. Perfect island to get away and relax.

I can not say how wonderful this place is. Magical almost. As with most homes at the beach it must take all the ocean throws at it. She needs a facelift and the cushions in particular are a little worse for wear. The bed pillows need to be replaced as well. But he mattress is comfortable and the bedding is nice. It's the location and the way this home is situated that makes it so magnificent. The private beach below the bungalow is wild, beautiful and mesmerizing. The pounding surf is simply amazing to listen to and it never stops entertaining you. The thought of so many things when they designed this place and it makes your stay wonderful. A bigger fridge and kitchen sink would be nice. The sink in particular is a bit of a challenge as the plates and most of the cookware is larger in diameter than the sink...which is not a kitchen or even a bathroom sink but rather a small bar sink. That was the biggest drawback and it isn't a deal breaker. We were so inspired by this home that we are going to recreate it on a piece of creekside property we own back home in Austin.

Baycienda is truly magical. Tom, Brenda and Sanchez are wonderful. Pack your bathing suit and sunblock and be prepared to spend your time on the water with Sanchez. Your mornings will start with the sun rise from your window, and end with the sunset over the Caribbean.
