This is an adorable cabin in a quiet and serene location. It is clean and comfortable, with a friendly and responsive host.We really enjoyed the porch with a swing. There were lots of deer and wildlife to see. It was peaceful and quiet with a great view.This place was one of our favorite places to stay. We would stay again if ever in the area.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay while we biked at New River Trail State Park. The house has absolutely everything and is in a secluded location, but not too far from the park. We practically lived on the huge porch and enjoyed a fire after returning from our bike ride. The kids were so excited to go on a treasure hunt and found two caches (which we put back). The loft with twin beds was a huge hit with them as well. They made use of the toys, books, and board games provided, and serenaded us with the guitar and ukelele. It was a very fun stay in the Shire!

The cabin was everything that was advertised. We loved the atmosphere and the gates to keep the dog on the porch were appreciated. Our host was quick to help us when we had a question about firewood and was communicative throughout our stay. We would definitely return.

From the moment we considered the Bilbo Baggins' New River Cabin for our visit to Southern Virginia, it has been a wonderful ride! What a theme! Davin has been a masterful host. He was very responsive to ALL our questions: Usually within 10 minutes, regardless of time of day--no kidding!! He always seemed to do so in an effortless manner. He achieved this while maintaining the Hobbit themed characteristics in his messages, which was way cool Thank you Davin. We had a great adventure. The cabin is a tad off the beaten path so plan accordingly.

Very cute cabin, well appointed, and in a very quiet and picturesque setting. As a bonus, close to Cholula restaurant at which we had the best Mexican meal in years of traveling...lots of deer and turkeys

Wonderful and cozy hideaway cabin that was clean, smelled good and had the most comfortable king-sized bed (felt like I was sleeping on a cloud). Host was very responsive and the cabin had everything you needed. The common area by the river was easy to access and beautiful.

Peaceful and charming

This charming cabin was perfect for a short escape for our three-person family. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It is actually very close to major roadways, but feels incredibly remote and quiet. We'll definitely consider this spot for a longer stay next time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. Davin was simply amazing! He was so thoughtful and considerate during our stay. The cabin literally has everything you need. The surrounding property was simply stunning, and we enjoyed the wonderful fall colors. We truly had the most amazing time.

Loved my stay here! Nice to come back to a secluded space after a day of hiking. Kitchen was AMAZING and had everything we needed. From spices to all the pans and appliances we needed. Master bed was very comfy. Loved looking at the stars by the fire pit. Brought my dog and there was a fee that I didn't see on the listing, but she also enjoyed her stay! The games and puzzles was a nice touch
