We had a reasonably pleasant stay in this unit. We enjoyed the beach and the Gulf front view and playing in the Gulf. On our first morning we discovered the wall receptacles for the microwave and coffee maker did not work. Brett Robinson staff had it repaired by the afternoon. The balcony door also did not lock but they repaired it by that first afternoon. We appreciated the staff being so responsive.
The beds were acceptable but the washcloths and towels were the roughest I have ever used. The washcloths especially felt like exfoliating cloths something like slightly soft sandpaper. Towles a little softer but still very rough. We were strongly lectured about not smoking in the unit or on the balcony and the penalty for doing so. Not a problem for us since none of us smoke. However the guest in adjoining units did smoke and heavily with their smoke drifting onto our balcony making it very unpleasant for us to sit there.
One evening a group of what appeared to be college age young adults were having a loud drunken pool side party. After that had gone on for quite some time a security person approached the group but seemed more to condone the activity than squelch it. The security person did a fist bump with one of the partiers as he left and said he would take care of them. Maybe friends but don't know that. It was not an environment acceptable for what I thought was supposed to be family friendly. There were children of various ages all around the pool witnessing that display of drunkenness. That incident and non uniform enforcement of the no smoking policy put a damper on what we had hoped would be a pleasant trip.
I do recognize that to enforce certain policies staff must personally observe the incident. In a complex this size I'm sure it is almost impossible to catch those in noncompliance. It is unfortunate that the behaviour of a few is allowed to disrupt the peaceful enjoyment of the rest of the guest. We have never encountered this kind of issue in the units we have stayed in before.
