Do you love South Africa?

We certainly do. Though we have travelled throughout the world, nowhere draws us in like South Africa, so much so that we set up our second home here in 2025. The friendly people, the food and wine, the wildlife and nature are unlike anywhere else on earth; South Africa has everything that we love, in abundance. Originally we are from Germany. When we are not in Hout Bay, we rent our home out to others, so that they too can have that experience we cherish so much.

Scott Estate, in particular, is known for its exclusive boutique lifestyle and stunning vistas, while Hout Bay as a whole provides a safe and accommodating environment for individuals and families, with a strong community spirit. We named the house for the spirit of the property. Knus Huisie is a quaint Afrikaans term for "Cozy Cottage". Originally built in the 1950s our home portraits the tranquility and laid-back nature of the region while providing the comfort and luxury of a modern day touch.
