Nueces River Front Cottage, 2 bedroom with all the comforts.
Discover this lovely 2-bedroom gem with direct access to the Nueces River. This charming cottage features a king bed, queen bed, and 2 twin beds (trundle bed) perfect for an unique and tranquil getaway. You can enjoy 3 acres on the Beautiful Nueces River just minutes from Camp Wood. Rest and recreate, your choice, when you choose the Labyrinth spell that pulls you in for a true vacation. The water for the house is drawn from the river/spring. Two gallons and 24 bottles of water will be provided for your consumption, but you should bring more based on your group. The trail to the river has some rock steps but can be uneven. There can also be wild animals.
There is a RV spot on the property. It is available on Hipcamp. There might be guests staying there as well, but they do have their own river trail and firepit view deck of the river. The pickleball court is near the RV spot. Quiet time for all the property is 10pm - 10am. There is a sign up clip board at the court that you can write your planned play time. If you are 10 or more minutes late for that time, the court becomes free to be used by others and you can sign up for another time. This usually is not a problem.
Exploring the 3 acres can be a fun pass time. Please take a picture of any artifacts and leave them where you found them. Do not climb any fences or go through gates marked for owner or neighbor or has a no trespassing sign on it.
Trekking up and down the river is a personal favorite of mine. Just be aware that once you are no longer in the river, you are technically trespassing. Be careful to stay as close to the river as possible as you explore. There's a river saying, if your feet aren't wet, then you are trespassing.
And I would be very remiss if I didn't remind you to take no glass to the river, pack out what you packed down to the river, and take a yellow bag and pick up a little extra litter to help protect the beautiful and pristine Nueces River.

We were fascinated at the location, so clean and enjoyable for us and our pet. River access was breath taking and not very "busy" considering it was Memorial weekend, it was a nice spot. We Can't wait to be back!! We plan on making this our permanent get a way location. Our host was very helpful when needed and communicated with us promptly. Definitely recommend to all who enjoy being outdoors and enjoy river front locations.

I am thrilled that you enjoyed the Labyrinth for what time you could.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away and spend some quiet time as a family. We spent a lot of time in the river and explored the small town of Camp Wood. Everyone was welcoming and the shops were great to explore. We even learned pickleball and played every night. We are already working to plan our next trip!
We enjoyed our stay at Mona's cabin on the river. Home is well stocked and has 2 nice sitting areas outside. The yard has lots of shade and stayed pretty cool and breezy for the middle of summer. The walk down to the river is beautiful and has a spring creek that feeds into the Nueces which gave a nice spot to cool down.
We loved everything. We played pickleball, kayaked on the river, enjoyed all of our meals outside under the big oak trees and marveled at the stars by the firepit at night. I only have a few suggestions: the outside table and bar were dirty. The bar table had a huge pile of rocks on it and was covered in leaves and dust and there were no fire pit tools. But these were just minor things and did not cause us to lose any relaxing time. I think a small table top jenga game would be a nice touch also. Overall, its a wonderful property and we want to go back soon.

I am a hometown girl that is proud of my Nueces Canyon Community and I love to host others and give them an opportunity to enjoy it as well.
Why they chose this property
The river is going somewhere and it always seems to be in such a hurry, but where, what does it think it is doing? And why, why does it give us such peace to be beside the river, on the river, or in the river?
What makes this property unique
The Labyrinth is a unique property that is peaceful and enjoyable. There's the river to relax by or be active and then there's the pickleball court where you can beat your loved ones, lol. And then we cannot forget the skies, wow, the skies. I hope you get a dark, clear sky to see the milky way, sweeter than the candy bar.
