Holiday home in a rural setting near the sea and the Gironde. Internet/Wifi

The House has a large covered porch to the South. It’s like an extra living room. The layout of the House: a room with a double bed, a bathroom, a living room annex kitchen and a mezzanine with two beds. The House has two sets of stairs, it’s therefore not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
The House is situated on a large plot (an old vineyard), over a half-acre. It’s 2 km (bike path) to the town of St. Vivien. There are two small supermarkets, a butcher shop, a bakery, cafés, art, restaurants, pharmacy, post office, market, a bank and other businesses.
The Sea (10 km) and the Gironde (4 km) distance are located on cycling distance. You will find a very quiet and a wide beach in the vicinity of Soulac-sur-Mer. The small tidal harbour of St. Vivien is a few kilometres away. A large new port in Verdon is 12 miles away.
A stream flow long site. It has an "open" connection to the sea through the Gironde. (High and low tide are visible). Because of the trench it’s therefore not suitable for very small children.
There is also a second house on the plot (for 6 persons).
The environment is characterized by vast forests, vineyards and wild meadows. You will see many horses on these meadows. You will find the vineyards South of St. Vivien. You can buy excellent wine at Château Noaillac (30 minutes by bike).
There are many hiking and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity

Quiet and tranquil setting

Nicely appointed small house with everything you need for a break in the Medoc area. Easy access to St Vivien by bike and quite central for access to the beaches and the ports on the Gironde. This area suited us very nicely and was perfect to shut down and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, while not being too far away from the markets and even the beaches.

Wir hatten wunderbare Ruhe, nur hier und da das Blöken von Schafen und Krähen von Hähnen. Das Haus war perfekt ausgestattet und super sauber. Die Umgebung ist ideal zum Radfahren (45 Min bis zum Gurp-Strand bzw. nach Soulac). Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Tres bon sejour au calme

Nous avons passe un tres bon sejour dans cette maison au calme entourée de nature. Il y a tout l equipement necessaire pour La terrasse est tres agreable et les proprietaires laissent des jeux d exterieurs dans le jardin pour les enfants.

Maison paisible

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette petite maison. Les espaces extérieurs sont très confortable, nous avons beaucoup apprécié le hamac et notre petite fille de 2 ans 1/2 s'est vraiment amusée avec la balançoire et le bac à sable. Les propriétaires, habitants à proximité, sont très accueillants tout en respectant notre tranquillité. Je recommande.

Excellent séjour !

Gîte idéalement situé pour découvrir le Médoc et sa côte Atlantique, belle et sauvage. A deux pas de l’estuaire de la Gironde, nous avons profité du caractère authentique de cet espace préservé. Logés à côté du gîte, Evert Jan et Marianne nous ont très bien accueillis et ont su se rendre disponibles tout en restant discrets. Hygiène et literies impeccables. Terrain spacieux pour les enfants. Nous garderons une excellent souvenir de ce séjour !

Gemütliches Domizil

Wir haben mit drei Personen eine entspannte Woche in dem Haus verbracht. Die erste Woche unseres Urlaubs wohnten wir im benachbarten, größeren Haus des gleichen Vermieters (dazu gibt es auch eine Bewertung von uns). Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Alles war wie beschrieben und sehr gepflegt. Man konnte sich wirklich wohlfühlen. Es gab ein sehr schönes Schlafzimmer, ein Badezimmer auf gleicher Ebene, auf der Empore eine Treppe höher weitere zwei Schlafplätze und eine Treppe tiefer den Wohnraum samt Küchenzeile und Esstisch. Eine Front des Wohnraumes war komplett aus Glas, man konnte diese auch komplett zur Vorderseite des Hauses gelegen aufmachen. Der Eingang des Hauses befindet sich auf einer toll möblierten Terrasse mit Tisch und vier Stühlen, einer gemütlichen Couch samt Couchtisch und einem Stuhl. Vor dem Wohnraum gab es ebenfalls einen Tisch mit zwei Bänken und Sonnenschirm. Unten vor der Terrasse dann noch zwei Holzstühle und neben dem Haus zwei Sonnenliegen. Mehr geht ja nun wirklich nicht! Zu den Stühlen waren auch passende Auflagen vorhanden. Überhaupt war an alles gedacht worden, in beiden Häusern. Kaffee war vorhanden, Essig und Öl, Salz, Pfeffer, Wäschekörbe und -Ständer, Klammern etc.. Es standen sogar an sinnvollen Stellen kleine Lämpchen mit Bewegungsmeldern, damit man im Dunkeln Orientierung hatte. Beide Häuser stehen auf einem schönen Grundstück und es ist dort sehr ruhig. Perfekt, wenn man sich wirklich erholen möchte. Nicht zuletzt waren die Vermieter wirklich nett und hilfsbereit, das ist ja auch nicht immer selbstverständlich. Wir können diesen und beide Häuser wirklich empfehlen.

Mooie vakantiewoning in rustige omgeving

Heerlijke vakantiewoning! Mooie combinatie tussen de rust van een landelijke omgeving met stranden en zee toch op 15 min autorijden afstand. Met ons gezin hebben we een aantal heerlijke weken door mogen brengen in het huisje. De veranda biedt de mogelijkheid om iedere avond tot laat lekker buiten te kunnen zitten. Faciliteiten in het huisje zijn allemaal zeer netjes. Een absolute aanrader!! Zeer vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw.

Een heel fijn plekje in Frankrijk

Een heel fijn huisje waar alles is wat je nodig hebt. Het is bijzonder rustig gelegen en de veranda is echt wel een troef. Daar kan je lekker rustig zitten, uit de wind. Neem er zeker ook de fietsen bij want je fietst zo naar de bakker of naar een restaurantje in de buurt. Je kan je auto ook meteen naast het huisje kwijt. Ontvangst was dik in orde met een lekker flesje rode wijn. Kortom, als je een plekje zoekt met een rustig ritme, dan heb je het gevonden.

Tranquil cottage in fantastic area

Have just come back from staying at this cottage for the second summer in a row, having visited my sister there the year before that. The cottage is perfect for our family of four (children currently 4 and 6 years old). The cottage is very well maintained, clean and as described in the details. My kids love the mezzanine bedroom, the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable and the shower is hot and powerful. The porch is a real highlight and where we spent most of our time, including my husband having to work weekdays whilst on our holiday (the recently installed wifi made this possible). The owners have a washing machine on site should you need one. There is plenty of room for the kids to run about and play on the lawn directly in front of the cottage and there is also a very handy hammock to relax in. A brick bbq is to the side of the property and was utilised most evenings. There is a ditch on site but was of no concern or consequence with children of our age, and could easily be avoided. The location of the property is ideal, with St Vivien being an easy cycle on flat country roads (our 4 year old did it everyday) for breakfast coissants, the Wednesday produce market and summertime Sunday evening food market. We did plenty of evening cycles too, around the fields and to St Vivien port (great creperie). The Dutch adult cycles available to hire are very comfortable and meant we didn't have the hassle of having to transport our own adult bikes from Cumbria. Some days we cycled further afield, with some great cycling lanes in the vicinity, including through the coastal pine forest and along the estuary. I have visited the St Vivien area many times over the past 20 years, returning to it again and again (including 5th year in a row as a family) due to its large beaches, big waves, forests, cycle tracks, Soulac attractions and so on. Having discovered this property I wouldn't stay anywhere else. To top it all off the owners are very friendly and helpful. We will be returning....

Erholung pur

Die Lage des Ferienhauses und das Ferienhaus sind so, dass wir, 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder, uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Ferienhaus trug zu einem rundum gelungenen Urlaub bei.

Rust, Ruimte,Gastvrijheid

Met ons gezin 3 weken doorgebracht in deze oase van rust. Huis is werkelijk van alle gemakken voorzien en het ontbreekt aan niets. Schitterende stranden , fietstochtjes,oesters eten en golfsurfen met de kinderen. Bijna iedere dag een ander strand uitgezocht. Nederlandse eigenaren zijn zéér gastvrij en doen hun uiterste best om het de gasten naar de zin te maken. Prijs / kwaliteit is een 10 met een griffel. Een echte aanrader om de Médoc te ontdekken.

Tranquille est le maître mot

Une semaine passée au calme dans cette belle petite maison qui est très bien équipée jusqu'aux petits détails ( raquettes,ballon et même liquide vaisselle et papier de toilette....etc). De plus elle est très bien située,la mer est à 10km et tous les commerces de proximités à moins d1km. Et pour finir Marianne et Évert, les propriétaires,sont très chaleureux et serviable. Je recommande vivement cette location.
