Thank you very much for the 5-star review! We love our guests and we love our cottage! Yes, the lower cottage does have a privacy fence around the garden which allows for a view of the gulf water over it as shown on the website but on the other hand the cottage is only a few steps to our beautiful beach and to your private parking with no elevators to wait for!

Thank you very much for your review; however we are surprised these guests never mentioned anything at all about our other guests being noisy and not following the rules, since they also did not mention what rules they are talking about. This is especially surprising since at check in I told them, as I always do, if they have any issues please let us know right away and we will take care of it. I also ran into one of the guests twice and both times in friendly conversations I asked if everything was ok and comfortable and he assured me it was. Regarding the pool, we are really perplexed since there is absolutely no mention on Vrbo that the cottage has a pool other than the fact that it clearly states there is NO POOL. There is a private pool for the private property next door but that is a completely different property from the cottages. The guest that assured me that everything was fine did ask if his mom could use the pool next door which surprised me and of course I said it was not part of the cottage rental. I don't know where her impression came from as is stated in the review because there was never any mention of a "shared pool" on Vrbo or by me or by anyone nor are there any pictures of a pool on Vrbo for the lower cottage.

Thank you for the 5-star review and we are so glad you found everything great as we make every attempt to make our guests’ experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Unfortunately, the rest of this review is misleading. Even though the cottage can hold up to 6 guests total including day/night visitors, these guests reserved for 3 nights for 3 registered guests total including any day/night visitors (which they confirmed on-line, in the rental agreement and at check-in) taking advantage of our “discounted maximum 4 registered guests including day/night visitors total rate.” In the end they had 6-7 people sleeping and staying in the cottage the whole time and when I arrived at the property 10 minutes to check-out (not 20) they were all running around frantically, packing, still washing clothes, and trying to get ready. There was a lot of disheveled commotion, but for courtesy and respect I will leave it at that. I chose not to say anything about the unauthorized people in the cottage and just wanted to say goodbye and wish them a safe drive home so I asked the guest who had made the reservation if they were leaving then. He seemed in a bad mood and he angrily responded he had 10 more minutes to check out and planned to use all of it. I said of course, to take his time. We don't pressure and are always very happy to let guests check in early and leave late whenever possible, and even given the broken guest policy here, we certainly did not pressure.

Thank you for the 5 star review and we are so glad you enjoyed our cottage and your stay! The picture of the property shows the view exactly as it is. Though there is a privacy fence around the property and the lower unit does not have a direct view of the sandy beach and shoreline as the upper cottage does, it does have a partial gulf water view over the fence that can be seen from inside and outside of the lower cottage. And if you step outside the gate, our beautiful sandy beach is just a few steps away!

There was absolutely no communication issue on our part as we always responded to their calls and texts in literally a few seconds. Our policies, amount of guests permitted, and size and layout of beds is crystal clear on Vrbo and also reiterated in the rental agreement, texts, and e-mails with these guests. They asked if they could move to the unit upstairs which had a better view. It happened to be vacant for their stay and we told them to look at it first to make sure. They commented that it was the same layout but it was good. The next morning they texted thanking us but had decided they wanted to leave. Even though the reservation is non-refundable, we decided it was better for them to leave and to refund their payment.
