Awesome trip!

  • 5 of 5

We love this place! The lodge has everything you need. We hiked the trails around the park, went canoeing and took a side trip to Old Bedford Village. After hiking and canoeing all day, the hot tub was the perfect place to relax our muscles. We found everything to be very clean. The outside fire pit was perfect for cool evenings gathered around the fire with hot cocoa. Also, when we needed something, Lorie was extremely fast in responding to our need. Also, the indoor gas fireplace set the scene as we watched late night movies on the flat screen TV.

Fantastic Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our trip was exactly what was needed! Even though we had rain, we had a very relaxing time! The property is located within a beautiful park. In between the raindrops we were able to hike on beautiful trails! Lorie is so very helpful as this was a next to last minute decision to get away! We loved everything about this place and were so happy with the facilities and surroundings! We hope to return again!!

Wonderful winter weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Awesome lodge. Had everything we needed and more. Friends and relatives rented the State Park cabins and we all enjoyed a wonderful weekend. Had an issue with the hot tub not being filled (found out it was leaking)... Called the owners and they had repaired that evening! We were able to watch the football games! Kids and adults enjoyed the hot tub. Built an outside fire... ice fishing was awesome... ice skated (park office lent us skates!)... and relaxed in front of the gas fireplace! Beautifully decorated! A slice of heaven. Thank you!!

Wonderful Place!

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of ladies that stayed here for a weekend and it was so much more than we expected! There was plenty of space inside for all of us to hang out and relax during our rainy weekend, and we were glad to enjoy the deck and hot tub the one clear evening we had. We all said we would love to go back! Hopefully next time we can enjoy the park and get outside more!

Better than a hotel retreat!

  • 4 of 5

We rented this lovely cabin for parents weekend at Penn State. We were thrilled that our well behaved pups were welcomed. It was the perfect solution for avoiding the crowds in State College. It's set in the Black Moshannon State Park area, there are lots of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. The house is cozy and well stocked. We enjoyed the jacuzzi out on the deck under the stars. Our only concerns were that the chlorine smell is a little strong inside the house if one is sensitive to that sort of thing. The bed in the master is not comfortable if you have any back or neck issues. However, the couches are divine and our kids said that the bunk beds were very comfortable and they slept like angels. Overall, we would definitely rent again and recommend it to friends.
