Our family loved our stay! The cottage was perfect and the lake was beautiful! The lake has clear water and is pretty shallow for a long way out. There is a dock with a ladder for getting into the lake, which makes is super easy. The cottage was really clean, and we loved that linens were provided, so we didn't have to bring our own. We had everything we needed for cooking simple meals. There are a lot of attractions, like Mackinac Island, Harbor Springs and Lake Huron, within one hour, so if the weather doesn't cooperate for a lake day, there is still plenty of fun to be had. There are kayaks for kids and adults, with life vests, which was an added bonus. We appreciated the extra touches, like dish soap and dishwasher tabs, too.

This is a very clean, comfortable cottage. The lake itself is beautiful with very clean water. Our stay was during the week and was very quiet. We were 50 minutes from Mackinaw and about 30 minutes to Cheboygan. This is a great place to stay. Looking forward to staying again next summer!

My great grandparents owned a home on the North Shore of Black Lake in the 1930's and we are carrying on the tradition of vacationing in one of the most peaceful locations in the world. We love the calm mornings, the fresh air, the clean clear water, and the shallow sandy bottom for our kids to play. We are delighted to share it with you!

What makes this property unique

Our cozy lakefront cottage features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, and an open living/dining area with views of Black Lake. The main bedroom includes a queen bed, and the second bedroom has queen-sized bunk beds—great for couples, families, or a small group of friends. Step outside to a private seating area with a couch, chairs, and coffee table—perfect for relaxing or watching the sunset. Enjoy meals indoors or out, with a picnic table just steps from the water, and unwind by the private dock for swimming or soaking in the view. The space is thoughtfully stocked for comfort, with plenty of natural light and an easygoing, peaceful vibe.
