About Beth Butler
We live in a big city and were looking for a place to get away and enjoy God's beauty - a place also for our family to all be together and enjoy holidays and vacations.
Why Beth Butler chose Lake Lure
There is not a more beautiful place to be!
What makes this House unique
Whether you curl up next to a roaring fire to read a book, take a break in the jacuzzi, play a game of pool, take a walk in the woods, swim in near-by pool, gather for morning coffee or afternoon tea or drink on the front porch or one of the several decks - there is no way to escape the beautiful North Carolina mountains and amazing skies...morning sunrise, afternoon sunset or the millions of stars in the night sky!

Beautiful house, lots of extras. The house was well stocked and in great condition. The views are amazing and they are from all rooms and floors. The only complaint is we had trouble with hot water even when spacing out showers amongst our guests. Just seems that the temperatures need to be increased on the hot water heaters.
Thanks for the review! We apologize for the hot water issue and will get it worked on immediately.
Would love to offer a 10% discount for a return visit!
An absolute wonderful Christmas week vacation!
Our family (11) thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas week vacation in this spectacular home and the beautiful scenery it possesses. The home was everything we expected and beyond. We never felt that we were on top of each other. We only traveled off the mountain a few times: once to Asheville, once to the movies and Christmas mass in Hendersonville, and to Chimney Rock. All but Chimney Rock were a distance (45-60 min) but at this time of the year there was not much traffic. The only negative was that, sadly, no snow fell but certainly that's the one thing this home could not have responsibility for. We did find one small hill at the Black Bear Snow Tubbing park that produced man made snow and for what its worth was a blast! We did enjoy daily and evening fires in the great room and warm spirits and plenty of games and movies kept us occupied. When we did venture around the exterior of the home it was mainly to view the unbelievable sunrises (near the gazebo); or watch the array of colors that formed over the mountains as the sunset; to enjoying a relaxing soaking in the outdoor hot tub (big plus!!!). Excellent, Excellent, Excellent, Thank You!!!
Nothing but Spectacular!!!
House was gorgeous and very organized. View was stunning. Entire family enjoyed everything about our stay
The Quintessential Mountain Retreat
This the place to go if you want to immerse yourself in natural beauty and solitude, but have the convenience of great dining, excursions and adventures and more natural beauty. The home has all of the amenities you could possibly want and more. The location of the house is amazing as it is perched on the very top of a beautiful, gated community set in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The home has an open floor plan, comfortable furniture and fully equipped everything. The bedrooms have an abundance of room and the beds are extremely comfortable. This home gives a family the ability to vacation together, but still have the space and ability to separate to ensure perpetual comfort and harmony.
Once you get passed all of the amenities in the home, you realize you are literally sitting on the peak of a mountain surrounded by other mountains that overlook Lake Lure. Literally every window of the house provides a beautiful landscape. Time seemed to stand still sitting on the three (3) different balconies. We enjoyed morning coffee on the back balcony every morning and it was amazing. We even had a day of rain during our stay and that provided us with completely different, yet equally gorgeous views. The night time views and the endless number of stars provided even more wonderful scenery.
In addition to the home being amazing, Lake Lure was wonderful and within minutes of the house. The local markets were conveniently located and stocked with wonderful, natural and local products. There are numerous restaurants within a short drive. In fact, the neighboring towns were great. Each had a unique history and nice shops and restaurants. Lake Lure provides a ton of activities, including going swimming. Plus, the trails in Western North Carolina are amazing and abundant. You could almost stop on any of the back roads and find a mountain to hike. There were a ton of waterfalls and just awe inspiring beauty at every turn.
Obviously, we were fans in every capacity. The property manager was extremely responsive and very help. This home was the perfect way to celebrate ten (10) years of marriage to most amazing woman in the world. It was wonderful coming home to this house to relax in solitude and surrounded by amazing views after a day of hiking, shopping or chilling on the lake.
A wonderful home in a magical location
This is a one of kind property. We (ten of us) vacationed there with our family: two sons, a daughter-in-law, triplet grandsons and my son's in-laws. The view from the house and the decks is nothing short of spectacular. The house is spacious and the bedrooms are comfortable. We ate in most nights and the kitchen has everything you'll need. Only minor short-coming is the microwave oven which is "tiny".
Enjoyed going to th.e beach at Lake Lure and taking my grandsons to the Kids Sense museum. Ate out at Larkins at the Lake. Explored Chimney Rock village - lots of shops. Ingles grocery has just about anything you'll need if you want to eat-in.
Truly a memorable vacation in Western NC!!
Beautiful views from every window
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. Any issues were immediately resolved by the property manager. It is so peaceful and quiet up there on top of the mountain.
